    Round 14

    Friday, 15 May
    Blues v Bulls - Bulls
Reds v Rebels - Rebels (Reds in disarray, Rebels on the up and up)

    Saturday, 16 May
    Hurricanes v Chiefs - Hurricanes
Waratahs v Sharks - Waratahs (Waratahs will have to up their game after getting tipped by the Force last week. The Sharks played better last week than they have over the last five or so games. Conclusion? 'Tahs at home will have the edge)
Lions v Brumbies - Brumbies (Brumbies...could you please come out and play hard for the second half, just this once, eh?)
Cheetahs v Highlanders - Highlanders (Last week the Southern Men let the Lions get past 'em in the second half as the men from Dunedin appeared to run out of breath up on the high veldt. I reckon the Highlanders will be a bit better acclimated and expect a win for the Blue and Gold...erm...Green...whatever)
    pues, estamos aqui

Ooh...ouch! Blues lose Luatua with what looks to be a broken arm. Braid out. Kaino out. Now Luatua out. Expect to see a help wanted sign outside Eden Park - Flankers needed. Apply now.

Somebody had to come out and say it:
Warriors boss: It's time to bulldoze Eden Park - Sport - NZ Herald News
The guts is that the NZ Government spent millions of taxpayers money on Eden Park for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

The expenditure was controversial at the time because the although it is world famous in rugby union, it has always been a cricket ground. So they made some changes which meant it was smaller to suit rugby, but not small enough, and too small for cricket. So small they had to make special rules for the last ICC Cup. Even then the boundaries were a joke, a decent bouncer could almost go for a six.

Now they have the problem that nobody wants to watch games there. Seats are just too far from the ground. Sure it fills up for tests, about twice a year, but that isn't enough.

The crunch came when the Auckland Council, who have to run the joint, decided to shift the Warriors NRL team from their smaller purpose built stadium to Eden Park to help pay the bills. That was never going to work, because league is a game for smaller stadiums, not cricket grounds. They stopped playing league at the Sydney Cricket Ground over 25 years ago.

Now the Warriors CEO has told the king he has no clothes in stating the obvious. Bulldoze Eden Park and build a proper rugby stadium closer to the city.

The only problem with that idea is that it makes sense.

    Round 15

    Let's Get Ready to RUMBLE

    Friday, 22 May
    Chiefs v Bulls - Chiefs
Reds v Sharks - Sharks (Reds shot their wad in the second half last week. Back to limp this Friday)

    Saturday, 23 May
Blues v Hurricanes - Hurricanes (forwards, midfield, and the backs, all in form. Is there a weakness? Not that I can see)
Waratahs v Crusaders - Crusaders (the match of the week. C'mon 'saders! Two to watch - the Crusader's giant Fijian winger Nemani Nadolo, and the Waratah's big Fijian winger Taqele Naiyaravoro)
Force v Highlanders - Highlanders (Fijian-born winger, Waisake Naholo, to add big hits)
Cheetahs v Lions - Lions (the Lions with an outside chance of making the top six)
    Stormers v Rebels - Stormers

So there you have it. Good weekend of Super Rugby coming up.

Reds, Connolly comes in for one week and they put in a vintage performance. RG is surely a lame duck now, the players obviously won't play for him.

Lions? Only if Stuart Berry is reffing.

Genia had to get between Thompson and the "Brand" as they went back to the sheds....
Reds are a rabble, every descent player is leaving. Brand and Hunt have been duds.
    Sad times.

Bit annoying that Setanta do not show the Aviva Semi Finals nor PRO12 Semi Finals live but seem to think a meaningless S15 game is more worthy.

Obviously a blind SH twat in charge of programming.....
