The Box is undeniably the hardest site I have ever been a member of to keep up a decent torrent ratio.

I have left all my torrents on for a week now to seed, but they are quickly dead with 100 seeders and not a single leecer.
I don't really get it.
once a torrent is over a day old there is absolutely nobody leeching at all.

I think it's fixed, the 'free 35 gig' upload for a 20 dollar donation is obviously the way most people are in the positive.

Not going to set my alarm for 6.00 a.m to get on the free Eastenders and emmerdale downloads.

I have some decent audio books that I might upload, see if they help.
If not, I'll have to give up on it.

^that would be a pity as they're hosting some excellent torrents. I've just downloaded "A Dance To The Music of Time". 4 gig. Definately worth a watch especially for the nude scenes in episode one.

I suspect my ratio has gone to pot as a result and I'm back to peasant, as I can't upload from the hotel I'm staying in, though downloading isn't a problem.

Only reason my ratio is over 0.8 is the free England Croatia torrent I grabbed at the right time.

Haven't had any problem keeping a good ratio there at all and haven't needed to select my torrents or use free torrents. Just DL what i want and leave it to seed till it gets up above 1.1.

one minute you jump on a torrent with 75 leechers and the original seed, 5 hours later, 77 seeds, no leechers at all.

this happens with every torrent I have downloaded.

I sometimes have problems with thebox website, comes up with network error, so i can't get any new torrents at the moment, although my old torrents are DLing fine.

not yet, no.

what baffles me is that you get hardly any leechers after the initial surge.

if you flip down a page or 2 you are unlikely to find any more than a single leech on any torrent.
this is very different from the public trackers like eztv where you still have hundreds of people downloading a torrent weeks after the show was aired.
