My mum used to make a mixed grill now and again... back in the 70s. Sausages, a small (minute?) steak, a rasher of bacon, a lamb chop and a couple of lamb kidneys... with chips and peas and a fried egg on top.

In fact I'm getting quite hungry just thinking about it.

So, do you want to see tonight's liver and onions or not?

Feel free to not share. It might taste fine, but I doubt it will look good.

^ 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder', and all that, but I will respect your wishes.

I must admit that the freezer burnt sprouts don't look great, even to me.

I told Signorina Sulawesi that I was cooking curry this week but she still rocks up with a tray of curry puffs and samosas.

The standout was this sweet and exceedingly hot and garlicky satay dipping sauce

I chipped in a dish of Rogan Josh anyway just to pull my weight and underwrite my undertaking and pair with the Belsen yellow Star of David Satay presentation

SS reckoned France Norway was a ripper, with Senegal's demolition of Iraq a close second.

Looks good but I'd worry her food would have a deleterious effect on my toes.

^I was delighted to discover during out first fireside fumblings four weeks ago that she was a rare traditional au-naturelle down below.

Then disheartened to discover a week later that she had shaved it.

Her ringtone is a Hallelujah Chorus so I have told her that shaving it makes the Baby Jesus cry and she has sworn off the lady-shave now.

^ Sorry mate, here was my second liver and onions...

I would like to say that that KLM Business Class glass contained Mont Clair, but I seem to remember that it was only Ya Dong.
