It looks as if half the population of Stoke has to share one box of gravy granules.

8000 steps earned us our dinner and Miss Saigon let it be known that after 3 days without any rice her Vietnamese rice emergency valve was about to blow.
I remembered that she had rejected my turbo charged indian curry last time as too hot so I offered her the milder chilli beans that I use to make cheesy beans and to my surprise she wolfed the whole plate.
Nice!
Summer dinner...

Salad bowls exist for a reason.
You actually poured gravy over cucumber there.
And it dribbled over the side of the plate in protest.
No wonder your garlic is wild.
Very nice amounts of beta carotene there BC!
Carrots have to be the best vegetable on the planet.
^ I'd argue that peas are better?
Guinness, lamb chops and sausages from Korat Chef!
Last night I did a deal with the daughter... I'd make dinner if she handled the pudding.
She obviously did very well out of the deal.
No carrots, but the broccoli was crunchy!
After the delicious dinner I lay down and waited for pudding.
And was delivered a Korat Chef Strawberry Trifle!
Which I ate horizontally.

Korat is bougie.

Very nice Mendy, those are some serious chops. Who did the washing up?
^ Me.
I do everything... the cooking, the setting the table, the washing up and the putting away.
Every day.
Edit: And the cleaning, the food shopping, the freezer defrosting and everything fukn else.
The laundry, washing, hanging it out and putting it away.
And any complicated gardening including drainage.

^sounds a little like my life...we apparently married Asians
[medium level troll]
You can bet no Asian man is going to put up with such disrespect.

I remember being in an office with a Thai female colleague around 15 years ago, from Buriram I think, both of us around 30. Something was on the floor so I grabbed the brush and started sweeping up, she darted over 'No, no, I will do'
Ohh, don't worry, I'll do it.
No, cannot.
Umm, why?
You are man and I am woman.
Umm, okaaay....
In your house you will do?
What, sweep the floor?
Yes.
Of course.
Ohhhh.

^I tried but a strap on just doesn't cut the mustard
Have you subbed the mustard with hp sauce after misskit's tirade?![]()
By special request, last night it was baked chicken breast with a brie and bacon sauce.
This was the best that it's ever come out.
The daughter doesn't know how lucky she is!
And afterward I did the washing up.
The cook never washes up at our place.
Not when I was a kid either.
^ And rightly so... and not when I was a kid either.
My mum cooked, my dad washed up and we three kids put away.
I'm too soft.
I think that washing up immediately after a meal spoils the 'ambience' somewhat, but I just like to get it done and out of the way.
Otherwise it will be waiting for me in the sink at 5am, covered in ants.
^ Come and stay a while mate.
The tv only shows Thai crap and there's always a sinkful of washing up to do.
Win win !p
