My Mrs Wok Fish & Chips.

    Dinner-ypghpas-imgur-jpg

Gotta say they are amazing, the chips crispy outside fluffy inside. Fish is freshwater but she salts it just right, draws out the excess water and gives a briny tinge - with a nod to Mendip she did fuk up the fish slightly as the batter was not up to her usual crispiness but when you've been on a 8 day chili morning noon and night binge its a welcome relief - she's a great cook. Love the way she can knock up a banquet on two burners ...

Princess didn't like my Mrs Fish and Chips, prolly lacking side serving of dog puke so i get it.

See how this one goes with her.

    Dinner-vwcv7xo-imgur-jpg

On the left Sataw with Goong which i avoided, its a two day meal coz don't go in the crapper after the person who's eaten Sataw the day before... on the right is Massaman Gai with Durian, bit sweet for my liking but when in rome and there was loads of Durian sloshing around the farm why not.

I got through about 2 Kgs of Durian, Cheni variety my favourite which is paler yellow and softer than Monthong. They'd sold all the 90-100% grade to the exporters but 80% was fine with me.

Home made steak and kidney pie, mashed potato, carrots and peas with lashings of gravy! It doesn't come better than that for me.

Two clean plates tonight. If there's one thing I'm proud of, its passing on my love of steak and kidney pie to my little girl.

My wife had her usual rice and stuff.

No food panda in Paris. But she is flying to Bangkok in a couple of weeks and staying with us, a visit to On Nut 46 market is something she is looking forward to. She spent about 50,000 baht sending Thai food to Paris 6 months ago.
