Beef stew Today
Spuds & beets
Sorry Dill no helmet for you today![]()

Great grub on offer with HD pics.
A simple snack for me this evening. Beans on toast with some vintage cheese on top and chunks of yesterday's unfinished tenderloin pork on the side. Delisherous and healthy.
Of course, I don't expect everybody to appreciate such fine dining.
Pictures witheld for the benefit of those TD members with weak constitutions.
PM sent.
Go on get the pic up![]()

Looks great Nev.

^^ that was Buriram Boys dinner
BB had fish & chips at the Cheshire inn on Friday,
Thankfully they don't do food and if they did you probably wouldn't want to eat there, more an old school spit and sawdust drinkers pub. Anyway no one refers to it as the Cheshire Inn certainly not me, it's still known as Last Orders which was its previous name. No idea how Neverna would know I now and again frequent the establishment though, maybe it was that thread I did on the place.......
^^ One might be inclined to think he has a drinking problem (not me though!). Two bottles of wine a day and in the pub at 3pm on a Friday. Don't tell him I said that mind. He won't understand.

Anyway, chaps, back on topic:
I have developed a taste for stodgy grub in ze cold & miserable Fatherland.
Discovered an already marinated, discounted chunk of beef and opted for an easy-peasy version of Sauerbraten.
Red wine - not the fancy French nonsense, but a solid Yerman dry Red - wiz der meat in vinegar brine wiz spices, kinda sour cream, an onion and boil-in-the-bag bread crump dumplings.
Sear the meat, then add ze chopped onion.
Transfer ze beef into another pot, add a glass of wine to the onions.
Add onion & wine to ze meat and simmer for 100 Minuten, occasionally turning the meat & adding more brine.
Chuck in some salt and a generous shot of sugar beet syrup or molasses & honey to balance the acidity.
Meanwhile, soak the dumplings for 10 minutes, then simmer for 15 minutes.
Take ze meat out to cool a bit, take ze pot off der fire and whip in as much sour cream as desired.
A s**t foto, but it tasted great:

He knows something about you because you did a thread on it here? That seems a bit far-fetched. Surely it's far more likely that he's a real life stalker cvnt who has a detailed dossier on your wife and daughter, and at this very moment is outside your house disguised as a rhododendron?
