Greetings NPT. Got the recipe off YouTube...first link searching 'pumpkin soup recipe' I think, a young kid. Flavouring components were sauteed onion, carrot, garlic and fresh rosemary. I added some cracked black pepper will sauteing and salt once liquidized. We enjoyed it but was lacking something and your suggestion sounds good. While eating I was thinking about maybe ginger or galangal. Will give your suggestion a go but not till I try a roasted pumpkin version with the other half of the wife's pumpkin. Regards, -BiP

I can also remember as a kid of around 6-8 in the mid-60s we hand milked a couple of cows and twice a week most of the milk would go into a hand cranked cream separator. Kind of a dull aluminium device you clamped to the kitchen table or counter edge. Don't recall we ever went the next step and made butter though.
Fresh pla nin out of the pond, filleted...
Poached in milk and butter with couple of our bantam's eggs. Delicious!
Photo doesn't do it justice as the fish just falls apart.

Green owed.
I mentioned this on that other Forum years ago and got howled down at the time.
At the Thai Farm where we live when in the Kingdom ... there is not a single (eating) knife in the place.
Plenty of cooking knives, but not one cutlery knife.
Needless to say, we don't eat beef steaks there![]()
^Expect a green or comment from Jeff for that, but he'll say any cutlery is Western-centric Siwalai and he eats with his fingers. As do most people who live on a diet of Macca's and KFC in America though..![]()
Tough audience, I wish I'd mashed the potatoes now!
Just to be clear, there is a knife inbetween the two plates, a Qatar Air knife to go with the Qatar fork and spoon on the left for my daughter. I don't know where my knife went, probably just out of view...
Well, he's not going to have tile cleaner on them.

How CSF likes his vegetables served...

Fresh peas out of a pod yes please but I will take a hard pass on them cooked the way you lot eat them. Almost as bad as creamed corn.![]()
