16 months later I finally found another standing rib pork roast at Foodland. Came out pretty well.

That fed 6 with leftovers. The Thai's could only do one chop as they were quite big. I would guess 250 grams a big slice was about the portion size. Sure can taste the difference with the bone in.
It's something we do now...if we have pork, it's pork chops. The bone might cost more but as you said, its worth it.Quote:

Most Thais invited to our house would know Western food is being served and what they will be eating. So its been very well received. Nobody ever asked for ketchup as I know the Thais need a sauce so gravy, or a barbecue, or even a white or garlic sauce would be served. Having kids in the states at university I can get lot of condiments here. So I have the best hot sauces, Cajun sauces and rubs, herbs even salt and pepper to use a year at a time. They want the leftovers and to come back so I guess its all good. :)

So I need to get a new camera app for my phone because the pic I am going to post doesn't do justice to the meal.
My lady has been trying to do homemade versions of fast food lately. There is a place called Arby's. They do this Roast beef sandwich with a cheese sauce. They have two packets of sauces one called "horsy sauce" and the other was "Arby's sauce". The process being that you get a sandwich with a toasted bun with meat and cheese sauce then you can dress it out like you want. Sadly like most fast food it has gone to shit.
My lady decided to restore this once yummy sandwich to its previous level. The sandwich was made with fresh shaved roast beef, bakery fresh onion rolls, melted cheddar cheese sauce with two types of artisan American cheddar (not the processed shit), home made horsy sauce (a horseradish deal she made), and with a side of hand cut chips. Damn good and sorry for my shit pic but that fukking cheese drooling out made it hard to get a good pic! :)
