Miss the heinz pork sausages and beans ?
Just go into villa market, get your beans, then go buy a smokey bite from the 7/11 chop it up and hey presto, bobs your uncle Fanny's your Aunt
Heinz is crap, the little sausages in it taste like dog food, puke making.
Agreed Jack ,, however this just goes to underline the sadness of this eventQuote:

^^ Nice. How did you do the Tandoori, and how was it?
My mates mum gave me this the other night. (She said she got it from the Indian market next to the Indian temple on Silom Road)Quote:

Pulled the skin back away from the meat of the chicken and made slits.
Squeezed over lime juice and salted them. Left for 15 mins.
Made a paste out of garlic, ginger & onion
4 x teaspoons of the Everest powder
1 x teaspoon of paprika
1 x teaspoon of chili powder
1 pot of plain yougart
Marinated the chicken for a few hours in the mix. Over night is better.
Pulled the skin back over the meat and basted them with marinade again.
Into the oven at 220șc for 30 mins (don't open the door)
Turn them once and then back in for 15 mins
Then turn the oven off and let them rest in the oven for 30mins (I lasted 10mins)
Tasted great and very juicy, just like my mates mum makes them. She's Indian.:)
Pulled the skin back also today and marinated a kleenex mansize. Then made one 8f these disappear

Ok now back to a bit of tasty grub after Dilli's roadkill .
Some time ago I thought I would try and be clever by impressing the Mrs by bringing home a packet of " something " from a Turkish shop in London ,, trouble is when I got home and checked the small print as to what it was and how to cook it I realised it was in Turkish .
So throwing caution to the wind I put the packet's contents into a pan added 1 litre of boiling water then simmered it for 15 mins ,, now the ensuing fumes removed some flem from my chest that I had been trying to shift for the last 8 years .
Then I chopped up mushrooms ,, garlic .. peppers .. and the banker a handful of fresh chillis .
Stuck it all in a casserole pot along with 500 grams of lean cubed pork , and slow cooked in the oven for 2 hours .
Served with jacket potatoes + butter + cheese + garlic salt and some peas ,, it was very tasty and chilli HOT ,,,, delicious !

Just off to put a couple of bog rolls in the fridge :mid::)
Aint you sorted a bum gun out yet. I thought you were quite handy with the d.i.y.
All that needs is some bread and butter to mop up, or are you gonna lick it clean ?:)
Now that looks like it's gonna hurt tomo!
So what part of the dish was the Turkish ingredient nigelandjan?
Albeit I am a dab hand with the old tongular mate the baked spud got mashed into it ,, so there was very little for me to wash up , infact a wipe with a bit of kitchen paper and they're back in the cupboard :)Quote:

Mi Mrs was at it again!
Fried fish with Sweet – salty chilli sauce, Tom Kha Soup « South – Pacific Engagement
Chipless cod and chips Thai style
Usually, I'd be horrified with a statement like that. One of the things Thais do best is fuck up a perfectly good piece of fish, but your missus knows her shit, so I reckon it'll taste great.Quote:
