^^ I thought you'd banned anyone from feeding the soi dogs around your mooban?

Anyway, thanks for the input. I never realised you could 'Q' fish as well.

To be fair, you can't go far in Isan without passing a BBQ shop with chickens and fish out front.

We did but that's what it used to look like as I saw the lady pour it out on the plate. But hey, if you are enjoying your cuisine more power to ya.

And Yes you can easily Q fish. Don't you get out much to thr local markets? You can usually find someone Q'n fish and chicken.

I prefer to Q myself but do frequently buy BBQd chicken at the market.

One thing I have trouble finding though is a nice thick pork chop. Love me a Teriyaki marinated chop with fresh veggies and diced taters. I usually buy a big loin and slice thick but the bone in tastes better.

There's always a fish on the table in some form when we go out to eat.

Salted, herb stuffed BBQ fish is an absolute favourite of mine. If we know a restaurant does them we call ahead and order it otherwise it comes last when we're already stuffed. As most many of you will relate to, my Mrs always orders enough food for twice as many people.

Well Friday night and thought a BBQ hamburger was in order.

Australian Wagyu 3.5 for burgers. Plan is a double cheeseburger

Added a bit of Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese and toasted the buns

    Money shot.

That does not sound right to us Yanks. A nice grilled burger is more appropriate.

I'd kill for some Tillamook cheese. The burgers look great as well.

I had my battered fish in a bun with plastic cheese, fried onions and mayo for breakfast today at 5:30pm. It was very nice.

I have the black label extra sharp and medium. A staple item in my house, but I always rotate through various English Cheddars. I buy all my cheese at Costco as it has the best prices and variety.

    Ruddy hell!!

It's all been going off in Hells kitchen tonight, everyone wanted something different.

If nothing I'm pretty adaptable , should have been a chef..

    Guess which was my plate?

You can mark each meal out of 10 if you want, I won't be offended

This was the best double 1/4 pounder ever apparently.

Last night the wife informed me she was doing some roast pork.

I know from experience that this means roast pork. End of. Served with a dollop of rice from the rice cooker and a bowl of red hot chilli dipping sauce.

I decided to work some of my Western magic and added some par-bioled potatoes, carrots and a few balls of sage and onion stuffing to the convection oven.

Add some cabbage, broccoli and of course peas and sprouts.

Roast pork dinner on a Tuesday night... it don't get more decadent than that.

And there's enough left for Wednesday!

    ^ Don't we all mate!

Can I just say that I can't be the only one doubting the validity of Chitty's pie picture two pics up?

That looks edible... he ripped it.

And the plate's clean. And it's in focus.

Anyway, tonight I was reminded of that famous old adage...

    "Red Ya Dong at night...

    ... Shepherd's pie delight!"

    Peas, glorious peas...

    Does it get any better?

    Isaan... living the dream.
