I went back to the buffet for another chili as well but, having also loaded the spicy beans with pepper and chili powder, I paid for it the next day.Ooof!
When I'm in Thailand I almost always do khao gaeng for the first few days from one of the local stalls near my hotel if I'm in an AirBnB, but there comes a point when you just have to stop and get back on the toast.
