Does anyone remember this place in Bangkok?

Been almost a decade since I first darkened their door.
(No delivered McDonalds to my hotel room ... like others here)

Went there recently for a nostalgia trip.

The coffee was brewed and not instant, the scrambled eggs creamy and the ham not to shabby.

Orange juice please ... no hab

    Bacon please ... no hab

So a ham and pineapple breakfast it was.

^I was in Foodland Pattaya this morning, people (Thai and Farang) were waiting for seats and this isn't an uncommon sight!. You can do so much better for similar money here, and in Bangkok.

noticed they had one in the new terminal 21 in patts, which was a surprise

they all, always seem busy (except the terminal 21)

a bit hit and miss, some of their stuff is fantastic at the price, others, less so, much less so
alright if you're by yourself mind and want something quick.

Mate, I'm sure you can ... easily ... you've shown some great examples on this thread.

But, I was staying Suk Soi 11 and fancied an early morning walk (I didn't venture out the night before as it was that day I had my wisdom tooth extracted).

Still, I was full after eating it ... and the place had it's characters.

Included a well suntanned man, presumably from the sub-Sarah who was intent on showing his possession of his (Thai) Lassie with a hair pull and a feigned face slap. Didn't appear to be her pimp, more a customer. Hope the fee/experience was worth it (for her).

    Foodland, Suk Soi 5

^I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Took a pic to post with my new phone and even the photo-editor program I use couldn't save it, the colours were terrible and it looked really washed out. Went to Google to see if anyone else had the same problem and sure enough, once the protective plastic film was removed from the lense the pics look great now

Will it make any difference if that 'konk out' has been organised by Samsung?

^Nah. I got about 5 or 6 years out of my last Samsung, the last 2 of which it had a crack in the screen (my fault) and finally the screen sensativity started to konk out so bad I couldn't use the keyboard or touch screen without having to tap multiple times. If I can get 5 or 6 years out of my new one, that'll be great.

I suppose 6 years is pretty good going.

The link is to an article on a court case that Apple and Samsung lost regarding the deliberate slowing down of old products to force customers to buy new phones, though, which is inexcusable in my book.

I love bacon but the stuff they cure it with that oozes out, the white stuff i hate. I'll get shit for this but when i cook bacon now i first start to fry it with no oil and then once its a bit hot i add some water which liberates all the white stuff, pour out the gunk and then recommence cooking as normal - now wheres my tin foil hat... Harry!!!!!

    Ahhh..
Commercial processed bacon is well known to be enriched with crap that we shouldn't be taking. And the dumbing down signatures become one-n-the-same.

Fortunately, for all of us, there are scores of avenues in which we can secure "real" bacon without all the secret additives and commercial processing.

Jef, i also buy bacon from whole sides, dry cured wiltshire bacon - sliced for me specially c3mm thick but nearly all bacon gets brined and some with nitrites so same applies - i'm just a fukin choosy bastard.
