Reminds me some what of an old favourite of mine, Devilled Kidneys. Not had for many years. Photo borrowed from elsewhere.

And loved it back then too! Very clever of Mum's back then figuring out a way for kids to eat some veggies without complaining

If I walk into a restaurant and see that fookin hat on a table it's getting accidently flipped onto his eggs.

This morning I had the PI version of shakshuka today....it was pretty damn tasty.

    Breakfast-20210216_105713-jpg

Last week, I had another wonderful PI breakfast (well, I had it for breakfast), the Loco Moco!

    Breakfast-20210211_172447-jpg

Rice, topped with a burger and egg covered in gravy. It's not in the pic, but I did get extra gravy as this looked too lacking in gravy when it was presented.

Perfect observation, sir. Fried spam is the Filipino garnish of choice, sir.

I've gotta admit, the spam and rice mostly went untouched. The rice here sucks and I'm trying to cut down on carbs.

Expecting puppies to be born here today or tomorrow so after a disturbed night of catering to the needs of a very uncomfortable expectant mum, a decent breakfast was necessary. From the bottom we have a bun, cheese slice, crispy oven baked bacon, sliced home grown organic tomato, fried egg, BBQ sauce and a pan fried Aussie beef pattie. Went down a treat.

Bacon burgers are always the start of a great day.

As the rest of the day is spent sleeping on the sofa.
