Actually, I've had the same problem with these critters. You can also try putting the tupperware in a platic bag then giving the open end a good twist and popping on an elastic band. Also, spray all the shelves and surfaces with a kitchen spray to wipe out their scent trails.
Finaly, i mixed up a little sugar water in a dish and put it outside the backdoor for them. When enough have gathered KILL 'EM then repeat throughout the day until you thin them out some.
