    This is from when miss TIMBA'S was posting for me. She got it slightly wrong (I love you) I said this is among the most beautiful meals I've cooked. In retrospect, I'm not unhappy with the results (honestly I'm thrilled.)

    ^^^ I'll offer a response too.

    FriscoFrankie is one of the guys in the engine room that keeps this forum running, the forum you are doing a lot of business promotion on for free (try doing that on some other Thailand forums).

    And he called it right IMHO. Pics of posters do not go up on the forum without their permission first, it's one of the few rules on here, and there to protect members privacy.

    A bit of consideration for what he said and even a 'sorry I didn't know the rules' would have got a completely different response from him.

    Trust me, throwing attitude (no pun intended!) at FF will not do you any favours Timber.

    Looking foward to EN's full review already, I expect it'll be a good one.

    There was no wine in the coagulated duck reduction, just duck (and of course celery onions and carrots) On second thought, I did add some wine to the stock before it reached its reduction big boy status....Thank you miss A.

    OK, point taken, I stand corrected. I hope I didn't burn any bridges. Its been a long day and I'm trying to figure out whats coming of all this. I just caught profanity in a thread in response to something my lady was writing. I know I didn't pull this all off tonight in a perfect fashion, but I gave it all I had. To those this is relevant to please forgive my ignorance of the common practice on forums, I've not participated in any before TD. I'm just trying to do what I can and sometimes my feelings get in the way of my logic. My sincere apologies. I'm not trying to turn this into a buzz on TD Politics, I'm just looking for usable feedback on my business from people who have respectable opinions. And I'm making new friends along the way.

    I won't charge corkage to anyone, people who bring their own wine deserve this. I always have steak, if you want one big boy status I'll pick it up special.

    Still reading, I'll give a summation at the end. But I know all other Thailand forums basically suck. I looked at them after I saw what could happen on TD. Again, I hope I didn't burn any bridges, I was just trying to get responses to people who were kind enough to give their support to what I'm doing. I hadn't read everything and I was just writing off the top of my head. I made a stupid mistake. I'm sorry.

    Don't worry as this happens on a daily basis. Really though, my heart skipped a beat when I realized the results of my poorly thought response to one of the TD gods (I really shouldn't ever respond to anyone like this...I'm trying to be a public figure.) I'm collecting my thoughts on everything thats related to this thread. For those who are interested, I'll try to sum it up before calling it a day.

    Ok, once again thank you TD. You’re helping me do something I love. There were some unanticipated things that came along with what I’ve done with this thread, along with some bad decisions on my part. I won’t elaborate as I feel we’ve settled it, hopefully. (if you want some info on how forums work read all of this thread.) My point in all of this was to promote my business in a tasteful manner and find a home in a place full of people who know what’s going on here. (LOS) I would love to continue to be allowed to keep doing this. In return I will keep working hard to bring good material to the forum (I know you guys know your food.) So anyhow, this has proved to be a priceless learning experience for me as well as being incredibly fun. I hope you all understand my point. If not I’m more than happy to elaborate. I’m going to keep reading this thing over and over to figure out what it means. Thanks to all for the support. I hope you liked what you saw. If its OK I’ll keep doing it (in a fashion that corresponds with policy) as long as people keep asking for it. Thank you more than you’ll ever know.

    I'm rereading this thread and analyzing it. I just want to say I had you in mind when I put out the sides. Yes, I'm kissing ass. I think this is a good time to do so. But really, I've gotten some feedback on my veggie ribbing. I do this in good fun, I love vegetables.

We were not smart enough to pick up on the trouble you could have saved me. I don't want to draw this out any further than it needs to be but I feel I owe you this. I'm sorry for what I said.     Seriously though, I'd like to say something in regards to the hostile posts towards Timber - I agree as a rule of thumb permission should be sought to post a member photo just in case that member has strong reasons for anonymity.

    But - to use that as a green light to start having a go at the guy for 'shameless promotion' etc.. is a bit out of order. Timba's a young, creative guy starting a business and taking advantage of Teak Door though in a very positive way which 99% of members can only benefit from.

    His threads are friendly and well written and the photos are of good quality but most of all it's something refreshingly new for TD. It's the way of the world to use something to your advantage and it shows good business sense, however it was inevitable somebody would get jealous or want to shake things up.

    And no I'm not after a free steak, I'm just sober.
