we bought one fron tesco on sale 2 years ago, soup pot in the middle and 360 hotplate so everyone can sit and cook, cost 790thb on discount and it gets used almost weekly, very sociable.

We were lost in conversation and I burnt the snags. Rookie error.

She bravely took on 2 burnt snags before politely exiting before her Suzuki Swift turned into a pumpkin

I was left holding my hose in one hand and my consolation prize of a potted plant house gift in the other.

She was born in Fiji, as are many Indian immigrants round these parts, so the plant was a Fiji Fire aka Metrosideros Collina. So named since it sprouts new leaves throughout the year once it gets its mojo on and they are bright red before subsiding into their normal dark green, so I am looking forward to seeing this festive foliatory fandango unfold, unless I have been given a dud that just stays green all the time.

Yesterday did a clean up and grill diffuser change out. So a pork Tenderloin was the plan.



Marinated a pork Tenderloin all day in Balsamic vinegar, fresh ground garlic and fresh Rosemary



Wife made up some fresh veggies and enjoyed at the pool bar catching up on some NASCAR racing.

Busy day on the BBQ sofa with not 1 but 2 Chinese ladies in attendance plus a dog that is smaller than a cat



I added some chicken breast to the usual snags to add a bit of ambience



But the snags stole the show as always. I offered to put mustard on Number 1's snag and she said she would prefer to do it herself.



I do like a lady with a spicy tongue

I was offered the friendship of the tiny doglet so I did my best to make a good impression.



Dogs don't always take to me but this little girl was all in. She was licking my hand feverishly because it had chicken flavour on it.



But when I washed my hands she was still licking them feverishly. It was quite tickly and sensual.



I have offered my extended-holiday dog-sitting services in the event that they may be needed in the future



Weather has turned cold so I had to pile the logs on



I was presented with a strange gift of a computer controlled space-pod humidifier



It has the vague whiff of re-gifted unwanted corporate gift about it but I will have fun trying to figure out how to use it.

Anyhoo. Stumpys living the dream. Retired. Got the feat up, plenty of hobbies. A loving family. An awesome pool and BBQ area doesn't get much better than that.

Quiet day on the balcony today with only 1 Chinese lady in attendance



Today was is the exact 1.5 year anniversary of our first date which was a tyre-kicker in the shopping centre

2nd date was a picnic 1 year ago. 3rd date was her complex spa 3 months later

This is the 4th date. Talk about a long game.



She brought some Tie Guanyin oolong tea from Fujian



Butcher birds up first for the feed



Get the meat kicked off with some chicken strips to augment the snags



While the beehive inspection is conducted



This smoky chicken was tasty dipped in Teriyaki



Oolong got a long steep to bring out the Fujian mountain aromas



The boots were staying on despite my barefoot subliminal suggestions



Finally prised them off for a fire-side foot massage
