Well, with the possible exception of Looper, I'm likely only behind Stumpy and Willy in the number of home BBQ pics posted on the thread.

Don't mind a stroll down memo-lane.

I'll be the first to admit that BBQs and BBqing ain't my thing. That would no doubt be different if I grew up in Oz or Cali, but unfortunately no one ever had BBQs where I grew up. As in, never.

Let's see. A wee trip down memo-lane. From page 17 of me current page setting on this thread.

This was one I picked up when I decided to give it a go.

Not much of a beef eater, but remember this Aussie ribeye went down quite well.

Having grown up in Oz, and living there now semi-retired, with 2 teenage sons, you must be outside in the garden BBQ'ing with them every evening after your evening outdoor activities together.

What a paradise place, being able to take your teenage sons to the beach every evening to play, swim, run, and the amazing parks for healthy outdoor exercise, or mountain biking together in the amazing outdoors there. Then home for a BBQ together every evening/night. Paradise.

I mean, you do do that with 'em... right?

Or do they just get to sit and watch you guzzling 12 pack after 12 pack while pawing angrily at your keyboard/phone every evening?

Careful there with the grill, don't do it too often.
Once a week is ok but doing it more often than so and you will become a grillaholic unable to cook meals like the ones malmomike and Mendip do.

To be honest we don't Q much because of how easy it is to fry, roast or grill things in our kitchen.

Fudging about outside with charcoal and fire lighters and shiz ain't really our thing, though get how it could be if we grew up doing it.

That's all well and good until they hit a certain age and want to do their own things.

I managed to get mine on holiday twice last year, it's proving a lot more difficult this year.
