When I was back in the states, I had some Bloody Mary's with pickled green beans versus celery. That was a really nice change and they added a nice taste. And yeah, you can't drink them all day. A few to kick it off, then on to beer as you Q.

Wife's preppin up something for the grill. She orders these fresh frozen tiger prawns in 3 different sizes for different style meals.

Got some Veggies in the works as well.

A Sudanese lady brought a +1 on our BBQ date today and she didn't wee on the car seat either

She even put her hand in with some kitchen prep, slicing grapefroranges off the tree for a starter.

Her Amazonian stature did not do any favours to the apparent size of my sausages

Sounds like you were lucky there Looper cos you know what the Sudanese are like. It's not a problem with leather seats though I guess.

    Well today is Ribeye Saturday.

Tonight was 300 day aged grain fed USDA Ribeye

First pass sear. Olive oil drizzled tater and Italian seasoned sliced carrots on the grill as well

Ribeye after a quick 8mins and now resting.

Plated and ready to be devoured

    Half way through...

Nightcap will be a long pour of a WhistlePig 12 year Rye Whiskey.

Did you parboil the carrots, JP?

We can't be having a rib eye Saturday- it doesn't go. Chuck it away and get a sirloin or strip loin for weekends.
Or wait for Tomahawk Tuesday, Wagyu Wednesday or Fillet Thursday and Friday

No RD. I slice fresh, drizzle with olive oil, a pinch of salt and dash of pepper and a good sprinkle of Italian seasonings. I let sit at room temperature for about an hour then Q indirect on a plate for about 12 to 13 mins.

Man. I don't have any Sirloin or Strip Loin. I have some beautiful 2.5" thick Tenderloins but typically don't Q on Tuesday. Well at least Beef. I usually do a pork chop or lemon Pepper chicken wings during the week. I do have a big fat Sea Bass I am looking at for tomorrow. maybe Sea Bass Sunday?

Man DIl, they are just perfect. You should try it. The steaming process on the Q in foil with Olive oil makes them soft but not crunchy. You can easily cut with a fork.

Just spoke with wife. Tomorrow is shaping up to be Sea Bass Sunday. My wife is taking care of her Aunt here at the compound. She had an unfortunate accident that bruised her spine and ribs. Lots of people in an out saying hello and hanging out. Today she was able to sit up and get in a wheelchair. She smelled my BBQ and said..."What's for dinner tomorrow..."

Love a good BBQ flare up. Adds flavor.

The Shiskys look good DW. Might have to Q some up later this week. Have to get some Bell peppers and a few big onions and wife will want Pineapple no doubt.

Last night Q'd up some Lemon Pepper chicken wings. Forgot to snap a pic but they were delish.
