Apparently a green chicken curry in a bread roll (think baguette) is good also.

Would that be a green chicken curry burger in the states?

Sorry AO ... I was just having a dig

TBH, I haven't followed the intense and, at times, testy debate, so ...

For me, if it's flat, sliced bread ... it's a sandwich.

If it's a roll, but the meat isn't hot, as in a ham and salad roll ... it's a roll.

    If it's a roll/bun and the meat is hot ... it's usually a burger.

    IMHO ...

    ^ True that, but ...

What-a-bout a flat sausage in a bread roll?

^ My Thai partner swears by them.

I did have some green chicken curry in a buttered roll once ... admittedly it was nice ... but looks nothing like your photo above.

I had some Thai Green Curry wraps on a flight once and they were delicious.

I've just had a couple of burger presses delivered, one just for patties and another for filled patties. I guess we will start experimenting soon.

We get some pretty good burgers at good prices already, so they will be hard to beat on both counts, but we sell a lot of burgers so we can give a choice of patties and mix it up a bit, subject to availability, without having to keep up with demand.

I'm new to this thread, in at page 25. Have we had the debate about how the lettuce is supposed to be on the bottom yet?

Funnily enough, I recently came across the usage of a "sandwich" for a burger. Cannot remember now where, but the context was a burger joint saying "Do you want the full meal or just the sandwich".

    Isn't that just common sense?

The lettuce acting as a barrier from the filling to keep the bun dry (not wet)?

Have you ever had a sticky rice burger in Thailand, Dave? You can get then in some 7-11s.

There is no bread at all. The bread roll part is actually two slabs of sticky rice.

^ I've seen them, though not been tempted yet.

... yet. Maybe I should try one for the experience?

Yes, worth trying, so long as you like sticky rice.

From memory, the patty part wasn't particularly good, but most 7-11 burger patties are also poor. The only 7-11 burger I like is the 40 baht double pork one.

Post up a few pics next time you have one.

Couple of the burger and one of the packet so I know what to look for.

    Cheers
