I think we used to munch thers on way back to N beach from the Jai Alai, that area is now like the Caribbean and full of many interesting cuisines and Pirates of the Caribbean, not an area I'd walk around at night these days.
Burgers were less standardized and the awful Wendy's McD, Whoppa, Jack in Box were nor so pervasive.

You may have served me in 1979 when I was at the base sometimes.

Never a fan of pre chewed food I preferred the African American shacks selling catfish grass and shots on teh back roads to Gainesville and Waldo. I was always the only whitey in such shabeens but my accent amused them as I realized I wasn't an armed cracker.

^ looks good, cannot green anyone yet, so will owe you one.

sometimes a whole burger is too much, that’s why God invented sliders. Here’s some sliders I enjoyed for lunch today from Hard Rock Cafe. Tasted good, but pretty annoyed about that coleslaw spillage.

Been close to 26 years now. I find mixing it up works best. Sometimes local, sometimes expat.

P.S. There should be a space between plastic and expat.

Some do. I for one don’t think Cryille is a fake. I think he really is a TEFL teacher. But I could be wrong, have been before.

. You’re correct in that the burgers were from HRC and presumably correct in stating you were envious. Nowt else was though. Poor Cy.

For good reason. Chicken burgers are the poor man’s version of a proper burger.

I quite enjoy a nice ground pork burger. Been awhile. Need to go to Makro and get me a pack of buns.

I have found a new place that does pork or beef burgers or steaks of both. I have tried their beef burger which was actually suprisingly good, albeit its sold as a Thai Wagyu burger which puts the meat into the passable category. I had the double cheese burger and besides it being too tall to eat without cutting it up my only real issue was they added spicy tomato sauce which pissed me off a bit as i'm chilied out and was looking forward to some plain food. I'll post up pics at some point with others of the trip.

Looks like someone sampled a bit of the top burger during the cooking process?

But I gotta say..."Where's the cheese?"

The better (and bigger) the burger patty, the less you need cheese imo. No sly onion in there though?
