There are no doubt many things that the Somerset Smoothie excels at.

Frankenstein-esque desserts created from various cheap 7-11 products is definitely one of them.

TNY had finished 2 bowls of some Shabu pork noodles with kimchi, various snacks, and a cheeseburger with plastic cheese.

Still wasn't full, so it was time to get to work.

Went with a Cadbury's Almond chocolate bar to offset the Hazelnut Nutella.

Could work just like this, to be honest. But she does love her ice cream.

I presumably pawed off those amateur-esqe drops before a suck of me fingers.

Lord knows where she put it, but it was delicious

and went down very well indeed. *cough*

A tip of the hat to the master.

Why thank you... but where did you squirt the whipped cream?

Here's another pudding I designed for when you're on the move or just short of time.

Or maybe fancy something to go with a cup of tea?

A single custard injected choux pastry ball.

I can't believe that I've only just discovered them.

and went down very well indeed.

Believe me, the spell won't last.

Still, just imagine what else might be out there that you'll love.

Cheesecake with a base of digestive biscuits and crunchy crickets?

^ I absolutely love cheesecake of any kind.

I had another three of those choux balls injected with custard in bed last night with my Milo. The wonderful daughter picked up a six pack from 7-Eleven on her way home from school and we split it.

She really is turning out well.

But a passport run still beckons. It's been a long while since I had any real dessert.

If you know what I mean.

This didn't even make it out of the kitchen.

The kid had a taste, then just stood there devouring it, mumbling something about 500 million star restaurant while struggling to breath between mouthfuls. Plus no washing up as the plate was licked clean. Bonus.

Chocolate sauce made with coconut milk, Cadbury's almond chocolate bar, Nutella and peanut butter. The last two possibly out of date by quite a few years.

Picnic lady from April finally came for a BBQ after 5 weeks of pondering and dithering

    Pudding-20250526_174317-jpg

For pudding she brought 2 different kinds of home made chocolate: orange and coconut.

    Pudding-20250526_181433-jpg

I did not even know that you could make chocolate. I thought it only came from shops. Both were very tasty but I would give the orange chocolate the edge. She uses orange peel to give it that tangy Terry's edge.

Butcher birds were first up for the feed.

Rare to see them eating peacefully together from my hand without noisy ructions and beaky jostling

Then time to feast on some eventide snags

The good lady gave my snags top marks and even went as far as farting with exuberation during the ensuing throes of passion on the sofa, which I think, or hope, was a sign of appreciation... - gave me the horn anyway

^I did not think anything was going to happen when she declined to take her boots off by the fireside as the evening progressed. But in the event, her boots remained on throughout the battle - and by extension her jeans (around her ankles).

She afterwards declared it to be 'the funniest sex she had ever had' which is not the precise words of approbation I would normally be hoping for; but, maybe she was alluding to her own spontaneous and uncontrolled 'applause of nature' half way through the proceedings.
