    Olive oil

This is a game changer for culinary cuisine connoisseurs!

A colleague brought this back from his trip back home from his native Cueta, a Spanish enclave in Morocco as a gift for fixing his car.

I've had it on pizza, salad and even lubed myself up with it,it is that good!

A bit pricey, but quality and well worth the extra pesatas.

Olive oil is the only oil I keep in the kitchen these days. I even brought a tank of it back from Turkey with me. Was 1/4 the price than here. Couldn’t help myself.

Lots of bananas go though my kitchen. I eat them, the dog eats them, and I feed them to the birds.

Sounds more economical than Lurpak. How do you make them mix? Sounds messy.

^ Food processor. Soften the butter and add the same weight in olive oil. It’s soft when I put it in the plastic tub and firms up in the refrigerator. Not too messy. I use my secret weapon for clean up…dishwasher.

I got tired of buying those dinky and expensive tubs of spread.

I might give it a try. I'll wait until my dishwasher gets home from work.

    Owed ear !!

Always loved Olive Oil , don't tell Popeye. The OP's oil is from around Chinchon Aranjuez where I will be in 2 months just S of Madrid!

I know I am maestro of piss poor speling a combo Arthritis, Absinthe and addled absent mindedness but OP has mispelled the city I know well.

It is Ceuta part of Spain which with a few neighbouring isles and another enclave Mellila is in Africa not far from Tangiers opposite Spain across the straits of Gibralter ( Jib Al Tariq, Tariq's Rock for monkey lovers).

Love the Maghreb, the folks the mint tea and kifkif on diwans , the Tagines, merguez and couscous , the spectacular snow capped Atlas and of course the louche life similar to here .

In 74 rode the new French train to marvellous Marrakech pre budget tours and posh spas with 2 Swedes who had a tape deck playing what else

Day 5 of the lemon juice and olive oil challenge!

One shot every morning on an empty stomach.

A daily shot of 1 tablespoon of high-quality extra virgin olive oil and 1/2 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice is a popular wellness trend believed to improve digestion, boost skin health, and provide anti-inflammatory antioxidants. Taken on an empty stomach, it is said to curb cravings, aid liver detoxification, and improve heart health, though scientific evidence on the combined mixture is limited. The Guardian +4

    Potential Health Benefits

    • Digestion & Gut Health: The olive oil is thought to act as a lubricant for the gut and coat the stomach lining, while lemon juice stimulates enzymes, which may help with constipation and bloating.

    • Heart Health: Olive oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and polyphenols, which can help lower "bad" (LDL) cholesterol and raise "good" (HDL) cholesterol.
    • Nutrient Boost & Inflammation: The mixture provides vitamins and antioxidants (like Vitamin C and E) that can combat oxidative stress.
    • Skin Vitality: The combination is often cited as a remedy for promoting a "glow" due to healthy fats and Vitamin C

I doubt one tablespoon of olive oil and lemon juice each morning undoes the work of late night beers, cheap takeaway kebabs and then later night cheap brandies three or four nights a week.
