Serious?
Why don't they tell you this shit?

Why don't they tell you this shit?
^ It was like no sex I've ever had... I don't think.
It's hard to remember now.
Anyway, after a very nice green curry it was pudding time.
Over the intervening 40 odd years since my last, I'd completely forgotten just how good Angel Delight is. It still has that fresh 'zang' of morning freshness.
Absolutely deliciarse!

I confess to being a butterscotch delight addict. The Mrs loves it too but she's only allowed it on very special occasions.
The wife made one of her rare excursions to the kitchen today and decided to make this this sweet. Not being American I always think of pumpkin as a savoury dish, but she spotted my portion in the bottom of the fridge waiting to be roasted with some lamb, and nailed it.
She mixed the pumpkin with some yellow liquid that I know included coconut and this was pudding.
Despite my Leo and Ya Dong intake just now I am in fact on quite a strict diet but felt duty bound to show interest in this new dish... anything to keep the peace. I 'Rock, Paper, Scissored' the daughter for the last remaining Angel Delight and the bugger beat me.
But to be honest this pudding was surprisingly edible but I must admit I would have preferred the Angel Delight.

They say that custard is like women.
Usually it's a complete fucking drawn-out nightmare but just once in a while it's smooth and creamy with no lumps and doesn't require sieving, and actually quite enjoyable.
There was a blue moon tonight and we were on!
A half and half vanilla and chocolate doughnut with home-made vanilla custard.
Even better than vegetable soup, unless you're a miserable northern git with nothing better to do than criticise other posters' efforts at keeping things going.

You should have soaked your doughnut in some Hong Thong first![]()
Now there's a thought.
I found a nice glass bowl at Do Home this week, on offer for 120 Baht and promised the daughter we'd make trifle over the weekend. I was wondering how to improvise for the lack of sherry.
^^^I have a hankerin for some more sponge and custard after those drenched donut pics.
Chocolate Cheesecake for pudding tonight, which sat well on top of this 1.8kg lasagne.
Cheesecake is the beezneez for a pudding in summer.
^ That doesn't look home made to me?
We finished our moo palo last night and I realised with horror that it was Saturday and I had no pudding prepared. Saturday night is pudding night.
The wife had left these things lurking around but after trying them I had no idea if they were dessert or savoury... they tasted ok I but I like to know if I should be putting on custard or tomato sauce on my food.
So I had a search and found this in the back of a cupboard.
I haven't had Tapioca since Primary School dinners.
Easy enough to prepare...
And plated up.
And the money shot. To be honest I'm not really sure what Tapioca is.

Looks insect related.
A proper proper hot pudding to follow Pizza Al Funghi Al Fresco Al Balconio for dinner.
Steaming hot apple pie with double cream poured on top.
A double-pud night too since we had Miss Lusty Luzon's Valentines Belgian choccies for a digestiv chaser.
^ You can't beat apple pie Looper!
Last night we had chocolate pound cake with custard although I have no idea why they call it 'pound' cake as it cost an awful lot more than 45 Baht.

Pound cake gets the name of pound because originally the recipe had one pound each of flour, sugar, butter, and eggs.
^ It really is amazing what you learn on this forum!
^ it fell out of favour once we joined the EU, the tins weren't big enough for kilo cakes. Coming back into fashion after Brexit i see.
I dunno if this is technically a pudding but I can't find a beer snack thread.
Yesterday's cheese straws. Think I used the wrong flour.
Ate it all though![]()
My mum makes cheese straws at Christmas... they don't look anything like that though.
I've never really thought of them as pudding, technically or otherwise. Why not start your own savoury baking thread?
Yet 'cheese straws' are so macho!![]()
There's cayenne pepper in there and they go well with beers, which is quite laddish.
Although ive never baked a Leek Quiche and took it around a Welsh friend's house for the rugby.
Have you?![]()
