My mum put a roast on the table every single Sunday, be it pork, beef, chicken or lamb, come rain or shine. And she worked full time.
We had a hot breakfast every morning and my mum did the school run before work. I didn't really appreciate how hard she worked at the time, before I experienced the alternative...

I made meself and the daughter porridge for breakfast.
And then it was pie and chips for Sunday lunch.
I couldn't decide between peas and beans, and while I was thinking this over the oven 'dinged', so we had neither.
