Funny thing is the area I'm from is renowned for its trout fishing but truth be told I know 5/8ths of feck all about it. :D
I like me fishing but have always preferred ocean fishing (and fish) over the lakes etc.

^ Give it a try a next time you're back... I've done all sorts of fishing but freshwater fly fishing for trout takes some beating, in my opinion.
Roast pork, garlic mash pumpkin, mixed veg, 'shroom gravy. Too hot to be making main meals past midday now, more so if the oven comes into play which acts like a fireplace in a condo :(

Geez, another one . . .
That was my impression of working class Londoners . . . sheesh!
'e's a peasant, in 'e
He's a peasant, isn't he.
:ourrules: vat ain't 'arf obvious, innit
You'd need a fackin or two more in there together with another expletive and a bit more slang.
"He's a fackin peasant, that cant.
Aint got a fackin pot to piss in. Lend him an Ayrton Senna, will ya?"

nice. No cheese?
I did think about the cheese. Wasn't sure it would go with the mint sauce:)
Although cheese has to be right up there with bacon as a foodstuff that improves almost any meal.
On a very wet Saturday, knocked up a Smoked Herring (Kipper) quiche.

^ I love kippers and I love quiche... but never thought of combining the two. I may give this a try!
The closest I've ever come to that is a salmon (tinned) quiche that wasn't too bad.
Grill the kippers first both sides, break up into flakes, put on top of the pastry and squeeze some lemon over. Milk, eggs, couple of teaspoons of french mustard, and some ground nutmeg all whisked together and poured over the fish. Sprinkle some cayenne pepper or chilli flakes on the top before putting in the oven.
Thought about lemon tuna and then kipper quiche, then thought fuck that for a game of soldiers and opened a can of John West:)

One of my pals is a lad I met in Thailand years ago; a blues fan (from Brum) who's as genuine as they come and we've become best pals over the years.
He'd eat a tin of John West too because a) it's cheap b) it's cheap c) it's cheap and the Villa don't have this tuna.
What is it with you West Midlands peasants?
They're not cheap, John West Wild Alaskan Herring fillets, thats about a days wage for your average tefler here:)
You sure this Brummie wasn't eating Ayam pilchards or sardines?:)
