So much irony in that post. The drunken buffoon is at it again.

Prawn fried rice, a request from the Missus who loves this simple dish but gets angry at how keeniow local restaraunts are with the prawn count when she orders it out :)
Recently learned 2 new (to me) kitchen hacks that were both put to use today with great success.
1/ Cut garlic bulbs in half then microwave them for 10 seconds to make peeling a breeze, they pop right out.
2/ Put onions in the fridge for a few hours before dicing them for no more tears or stinging eyes.

200 foot of Privot hedge to trim today...
^That's how I'd been doing it, crushing them with the flat side of a knife then cutting both ends off then relying on a thumbnail to peel the outer skin off. Not any more though :)

Nice, trouble is i always feel guilty after eating them No HP sauce?
^^ Lush.
^ Do you have Gregg's in Oz?
If not you wanna grab some from Villa in BK.
I could never find them in Patts.
Dilly and Mao own TD. They immediately deleted my post.
They are best friends.
:)
Some over zealous modding going on here tonight
No idea, I wouldn't buy frozen sausage rolls down there when when you're never far from a bakery doing fresh baked pies and sausage rolls. Having said that, if I had to guess there's no way I would say the sausage rolls in Armstrong's pic were ever frozen. That pastry and the overall product looks really good.
They were from the freezer. I must just be a great cook!
I did put milk on them because I remember my mum used to...
It shows how long I've been away from the UK (and how many Greggs I've had) because I had no idea they now do frozen stuff!

Fills a hole when you just wanna get right back on it and can't be arsed sitting down for a proper meal. Horrendous heartburn for me though.
^Who doesn't love a good sausage roll, any side-effects are totally worth it :)
The contentious issue with them of course is sauce or no sauce, and if we're going to open that can of worms what sauce is best.
^Oh there's worms alright. Who in their right mind would put English mustard on a sausage roll? And what sort of a lunatic would eat one cold???! :)
'It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll'
Armstrong's sausage rolls look good... but for me a proper sausage roll has to be made from short crust pastry, not puff pastry (same for pies).
Eaten hot with tomato sauce, or even better some baked beans!
In fact I may even make some today.
^Never eaten one so I have no benchmark for comparison. TBH the fillings in most sausage rolls I've ever had has always been pretty similar, it's just the pastry that separates them.
Me to, never used to get it but the last 10 years and a pie is just asking for an hour of burn until i relent and run for the rennies. Trouble is like childbirth the memory fades and the mere sight of a steak and kidney or chicken and mushroom pie and i can't help it, not that i've given birth, well not to a child.
^Are you a smoker? I haven't had heartburn once since giving up the tabs, use to get it really bad though.
Well... once you buggers sowed the seed...
While I'm stuck in Korat and want sausage rolls... as I find with a lot of other things... I have to do it meself!
Main thing... remember to take the skins off the sausages.

Baste with egg and milk. I had a bit of pastry left over so made a ham and cheese pasty. Who needs Gregs?!!

And could ya bladdy believe it... we've run out of Tomato Sauce. It seems stocktaking is yet another thing I'll have to do myself.
But anyway, with some homemade cream of chicken soup made using the roast chicken carcass from a couple of nights ago... lunch for two!

^About 1000 times better than any pastry baking I've ever tried (before giving up forever) :)
They're a bit special, those Gregg's sausage rolls mate. The only thing I miss from back home now. Well then and a good balti.
Gregg's have a bigger presence than Maccy Ds in the UK now. . Over 2000 shops. That's about a quarter of 7/11s in Thailand but they are only selling pastries.
If I was in Thailand I would be making a special trip to Armstrongs Villa and clearing it out.:)
Look great Mendy. What snags were they?Just realised I miss curry patties too:)
Read it and weep:) 8 large for £3.50p
