Authorities in Pattaya were stunned after discovering a 13-year-old boy involved in drug dealing in the Jomtien area. The shocking revelation came during a crackdown on narcotics in the notorious Jomtien Soi 2 and 3 area, ordered by senior officers in the Chonburi Provincial Police.
On June 3rd, 2025, anti-narcotics officers conducted an operation in Jomtien Soi 2, where they apprehended a repeat offender, identified as Ms. Bang-on, also known as Krathin, aged 39. During the search, police found 78 methamphetamine pills and 0.75 grams of crystal methamphetamine in her possession. However, what surprised officers even more was the presence of a young boy alongside her, acting suspiciously.
Upon questioning, the 13-year-old confessed to carrying seven methamphetamine pills and 2.9 grams of crystal meth. Authorities expressed deep concern over the involvement of a minor in such criminal activity.
Further investigations led police to a nearby residence, where they discovered an Electronic Monitoring (EM) bracelet that had been cut off and discarded. Ms. Bang-on admitted that she had been arrested six times previously and had repeatedly secured bail, despite being required to wear the tracking device. She reportedly cut off the bracelet to continue drug dealing without restrictions, telling officers she was unfazed by the possibility of being arrested again.
In addition to detaining the dealer and seizing the illegal substances, officers also identified and took into custody several individuals who tested positive for drug use. These individuals will be sent for rehabilitation to curb drug-related crime in the Jomtien area.
Authorities have also obtained video evidence from local residents showing drug dealers openly selling narcotics in the area, further demonstrating the severity of the issue. The police vow to continue stringent enforcement measures until illegal drug activities are eradicated from the region.
