A restaurant owner in Pattaya is pleading with the police to catch the thief who has targeted her business over three times this month.


On July 27th, 2024, Ms. Boonyarat (surname withheld upon request), a 40-year-old owner of Chill Out 84 restaurant located in Soi 5, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province, met with The Pattaya News team, bringing with her CCTV footage which clearly captured the incidents.


Ms. Boonyarat stated that the thief had stolen from her restaurant three times within this month alone, taking several items. Following the incidents, she filed a complaint with Pattaya Police, but the suspect has yet to have been arrested.

Ms. Boonyarat revealed that during the first incident, the thief stole several bottles of liquor kept at her restaurant. The thief even took items such as chicken eggs, salted eggs, and century eggs in the second incident. Ms. Boonyarat said that she did not expect the thief to return, but in the third incident, a suspect resembling the previous one came back and stole various items including 5,000 baht in cash and a laptop.


Ms. Boonyarat noted that thefts are frequent in the area, citing that her nephew’s motorcycle was also stolen, and the culprit has not been apprehended.


Ms. Boonyarat appealed to the police to help apprehend the thief and increase regular patrols to ensure the safety of local businesses and residents. Ms. Boonyarat provided CCTV footage to the police, which clearly captured the thief in the act of stealing, to aid in the investigation. She hopes the police will catch the thief soon.
