CityNews – A Chiang Mai woman who won eight million baht on the lottery last week rushed to a police station with her winning tickets as she was scared of losing them.
Sriploy Saengboon, 61, of Sarapee district, said she wanted the police to record the ticket numbers as evidence.
The clothes shop worker said she bought two tickets with the number nine after making merit at nine temples in Isaan during Buddhist Lent. She believes her win was thanks to her making merit.
Police Lieutenant-Colonel Kanongsak Kusol of Sarapee Police Station is pictured with Sriploy's winning tickets.
