Not necessarily any differently- but there is a scuttlebutt political angle, that I can neither confirm or deny. It is rumoured that the 'influential absconders' (if they indeed exist) were previously PDRC guards- and of course, they are said to hail from Suthepland central, aka Surat Thani. Not suggesting any dodgy political affiliation between the yellows/ PDRC/ Phra Suthep and an impartial Thai military, of course- especially not the Eastern Tigers- but there is indeed a rumour mill flourishing out there in the blogosphere. One can only hope and trust these baseless rumours are firmly extinguished, because if the distraught suspects commit suicide prior to this, the rumourmongers will of course consider themselves vindicated.
