One trend you see is that it took incredible pressure from outside of Thailand to get conviction in the solved cases.
Evil man from Krabi wasn't murder but rape.
Don't leave out stabbed to death Hanna Backlund, Phuket Mai Khao beach March... 15 ( beware the ides of March ) 2008.
Killer caught within days from eyewitnesses seeing him stalking the victim beforehand.
On Samui, Katherine Horton's assailants were apprehended quickly, too.

I would include in unsolved murder rolls the young women vomiting to death- Phi - Phi ( 4 ) and Chiang mai ( 3 )
