Won't affect Singha or Chang. They both manufacture soda water. So they can continue to have their logo / name on any event or sponsorship deal and just claim they are promoting the water, not the beer.

I reckon it is a smear campaign by an opposing political group to discredit the present government.

12 midnight shutdowns, if in fact the new laws are real will kill many businesses here and drive tourists away.

I doubt bar closures after midnight will affect the tourist trade involving the vast majority of visitors comprising Sinks, Taiwanese, HK sinks, Koreans, Indians, farang with established lifestyles in their own countries, Middle Eastern folk, Russians, Japs and Malaysian/Singaporeans.

Seedy whoremongers, teflers clinging on by their fingernails, farang oiks and resident expats on visas do not actually mean very much in the scheme of things, numbers wise.

It's only me, but I think the "Bring Back Happiness" campaign has just taken a dent.

Dearly beloved, we have gathered here to pay our final tribute of respect to that which was mortal of our deceased loved one and friend, the Thai Beer Girls.

We come together in grief, acknowledging our tragic loss.May God grant us grace, that in other skimpily clad lovelies enticing us to drink beer, often with free gifts, we may find comfort, in sorrow hope, in death resurrection.

Dying, beer girls destroyed our death.

Rising, beer girls restored our life.

Beer girls will come again in glory, or at least as hostesses purveying other beverages

Here and now, dear friends, we are all in love with beer girls.

    What we shall be has not yet been revealed unless we get the angle right as they bend over;

But we know that when the beer girl appears, we shall be like her, for we shall see her as she is, a hot little number dressed in a sexy uniform, bringing us beer.

Those who have this hope purify themselves as the beer girl, not usually being a hooker, is pure.

May the God of love and mercy wipe every tear from our eyes, and lead us to walk in ways of peace, or at least to countries where beer girls still prowl. Amen.

The measures are already in place where I live and the bars now have the Blue change water banners , which is quite different to the green Chang beer logo .
Some bars near to Temples have also been ordered to close down, after Monks complained about the noise , theyve been given until the end of this month to close down

    Why isolated to just beer?
If these regulations extended to other native alcohol beverages - we'd really have a revolution on our hands,

Amateur??.... there is no way in the world that the guy in charge will let any of them get into the public domain..... certainly not handing them out to his mates....

Anyway, it's all changed now in that organisation....

Spoke to the leading importer of ciders into Thailand last night and she has advised everyone to take down her advertising banners and remove the bar mats until further notice.
