Attack one: Came after he kicked over a waste paper bin put his way to stop him after being pushed by a guard. Two more came along and laid into him.

Attack Two: Came after Behan, already bloodied, kicked one of them.


Attack Four: Came after he wiped blood off himself with a guard's tie.

The Irishman showed great strength of character and is to be applauded for his actions. Many here have spent so long snivelling to the Thai they have quite forgotten what it is to be a man.

he has been here a while and knows how things work.
if bts so chooses, they could easily drum up damning false evidence against him, backed up by guards statements, to show he started the whole thing and initiated the violence. the courts would convict and he would lose his job or worse.

sometimes showing true character is not about making a noise, a scene to protest ones rights , but about knowing when to shut up, smile to yourself and get on with your life knowing you are far superior to the neanderthal scum that are hassling you and provoking you into the reaction they hope you will give, thereby giving them the excuse to steam in.

in a situation like this that is how to be the man, the englishman, the gentleman if you like. but of course this man is irish, and so we cant expect too much logic or sense from him, too much to expect him to be able to resolve the situation by deflating the balloons for the journey home and re-inflating them for his daughter once they were home
