Nice.....as i said, I did not do it for 2 years at least.

Then i left the country, so it reset itself and I thought I would be good again.

Problem was I misread my passport for some reason and calculated the 90 days wrong. Even set an alarm in me phone to report when due, problem is it was 2 days late. 2 days past the 7 days grace.

I had several visits to immigration for visas, renewals, new passport changeovers, lost passport etc and never once got asked about the 90 day reporting or caught out over that 2 years.

Because it is 90 day reporting , note 90 day questioning, so you are supposed to take the initiative

I've not reported a single time during the last 3 and a half years.

    Never been fined.

Certainly haven't been out every 90 days.

Nah, I've just got someone else responsible and who has to pay if I get caught, so why would I care?

For all those unfortunate individual who have trouble remembering when they have to go, there's some new-fangled gadget you can buy quite cheaply which will remind you if you set the date in the device's Calendar function.

This wonderful new invention may also be used for taking (shit) photos and making telephone calls to people. (A telephone call is a way of speaking to someone who isn't in the same place as you are. Provided you both have a telephone and know each others' special codes - called telephone numbers - you can speak to someone even though you can't see them. Amazing, I think you'll agree.)

Here is a picture so you'll know what to look for next time you're out shopping for rocks and boulders.

The sleep of reason brings forth monsters.

Ah, the advantages of living in a metropolis like CM. For us peasants, a two hour drive is the norm.
    Not all of us pesants.

Believe it or not, I trust immigration slightly more than I trust the local postal system.

But it is open to mistakes....like the operator putting in the wrong reminder date.

    So someone told me.

Or - and this is a bold step, invest 100 baht in a desk diary (I find the one month at a glance ones useful) and enter the date in big black letters.

Excellent suggestion, nid. Where can one buy such a product? How long have they been on the market? Do they come with instructions and batteries?

I've never been questioned, even when I went for my yearly extensions I've been late and nothing said. BTW, going for an extension doesn't count as reporting (even though you sign form with your address).

I don't think any of this goes on the computer. What happens if you claim to have lost the receipt and made the last report at a different office? Hypothetically speaking.

I did my yearly extension this month.
My 90 day reporting is up to date but I didn't have the slip with me.
The Officer refused to grant me an extension because I couldn't show him the slip

Yes they are easy to lose.
An immigration officer managed to lose one for me once which is why I no longer keep it in my passport.

You need to spend time trawling through the book at Immigration in which they log all the 90 day reports they receive. Once you find your report your in the OK.

It's a big book, and it took me almost an hour to find my report.

(How come they don't have computers in this country?)

This thread is about 90 day reporting

If you have a query about 90 day visa then I think you should start a new thread.
    And please give full details

They simply put a new one in for me, no questions this time and luckily they forgot about the appointment they made for me for my next visit to 'discuss' the fine for missing the last 2.
