The way I see it some of you guys are Real teachers doing a bang on job. Some are just chancers that just happened to speak englander. Turned up in Los and got or gave a blowie or 2 and decided the weather was quite nice so stayed. There are teflers and there are Educators. You sir are firmly in the educator category as are quite a few posters from what I can glean. I can only base my opinion on having kids that had sometimes educators and sometimes teflers in the international school that I had ponied up for.
Most people are Kunts.dont believe me? Next time you see a group of people. Shout out OI KUNT watch em all turn around.

What happened with your education, BLD? Do you blame educators or TEFLers?

I blame myself for my lack of Formal education. There was nothing wrong with the education system. Teachers were paid well I think. They were educators and unfortunately for them ole bld was a bit fucking wild

You've made an important point, BLD. Teachers can sure as hell help or hinder a person's education, but the person/learner can also help or hinder just as much, if not more. Someone who really wants to learn, will learn, whoever the teacher. Someone who has no interest in learning, will not learn, whoever the teacher or however much any teacher tries to help.

Probably the same story for most TEFLrs to be fair. They just chose the wrong career path.

Or more importantly didn’t actually choose but just fell into the only option available to stay in Thailand and drink cheap piss… once they wised up a little it was too late and now they are bitter.

Moral of the story, be intentional or you might end up a skint tefler trapped with a pregnant batgirl/7/11 cashier

Joe-It-All arrives, despite leaving school at age 15 with no qualifications. Joining BLD, who apparently didn't even get that far.

If his pool had worked he'd be posting about it all the time.

Speaks volumes that he never mentions it.

Still, looking forward to his US pictures as he desperately tries to convince some people to work with him.

And yet I've brought up three children virtually single handed and am putting them through university after they attended ofsted outstanding schools and gained high grades.

I've guided, motivated and nurtured them all the way.

I tend to somewhat disagree with this point. Sometimes a student cannot learn the way a teacher teaches a certain subject like Math for instance. Not all learners are visual learners. Some students need to be taught more hands on learning to understand a concept. I failed grade 9 Math because I needed to be taught a different way. Just writing a formula on the board may not be the best way to teach all learners.
I took the course in summer school and passed quite easily. The teacher taught the subject differently and gave options to learn the concept other than looking at a formula on the board.

It is sad that government has to come in between education. Hopefully you can still keep your job and the BC doesn't disappear.
