On this thread there are several people who constantly attack the protesters for being unsanitary, shitting on police cars (How did he do it without getting poop on his clothes?), obstructing public places, etc. and see nothing positive in anything they have done. Only the authoritarian message, these are bad people doing bad things. They deserve rough treatment from authorities and disdain from the public.

What about the real bad people? The corporations who have put American in this mess and the government who has been paid off to follow their directions. What about their punishment? Wall Street was and is engaged in outright fraud, it is a fact. Obama has already said he will not pursue prosecution. Do any of you think this problem will be solved by those with authority? Because the government or corporations have power, they are good and will sort this whole mess out for the betterment of the American people?

The only people who are made to suffer are those bad people who bought houses they couldn't afford. Those bad union people who try to keep up a decent standard of living. Those bad lazy people who don't take three low paying jobs to feed their kids and rely on food stamps.

As far as I can see, if Americans don't insist on change, those who sit on hoards on money and are so well insulated, will let everyone else continue the slide into third world poverty. And if the majority of Americans haven't seen this, then the Occupy protesters need to keep on doing everything they can to bring attention to this until the pendulum swings back in favor of the majority of people.
