Wyoming gets as much as 200 inches of snow a year in places.
Not to mention that most of it is over 5000+ feet above sea level. Tends to snow a lot in a place like that in fact last time I drove through it was a September and guess what it was snowing.
Lets be quick to point out though that throughout most of the rest of the country it has been a record hot summer.
