What if some of us start complaining about so much of the that gets posted here, including much of what you post? If that was eliminated, we'd be like Dave's ESL Cafe and ThaiVisa, wouldn't we?

I am explaining my opinions. Some of the posters here are free-thinking challenged. Is it my fault they don't take the time to contemplate the answer [or are incapable of understanding] and if they don't understand come back with a reasonable well-thought out question?

Are you a mod, Butterfly? - if so, that might explain the mysterious deletion of my post objecting to your use of offboard features to intimidate, and inviting you to air your real or imagined grievance in the public area, where you might even explain how you happen to know so much about 12 year old schoolgirl responses in a given situation; with tongue in cheek, naturally.

Kerux, the rules for ISSUES are different than other rooms in this forum.

Off-topic comment, personal attacks, off-topic pics (pics not in the pics thread) are often sent to the trash bin.

As for my comment that you quoted, I was wrong, and I should not have posted that. I apologize. That post is a violation and I will delete it now, if no one else has.

Thanks, stroller. I have just made a post in Issues to Butterfly, concerning what seems to be an abuse of whatever authority somebody happened to give him (as you say and I know only now) as an Issues mod.

Not sure if my post should have been made here or elsewhere, but as his despicable offboard comments related to an Issues thread, it seemed appropriate to respond there.

I agree with mad_dog.

"Issues" will be a great place on the forum if we stick to on-topic discussions. If we get off-topic, then someone should create a new thread on the off-topic if they want to continue on that subject.

Personal attacks, barbs, and insults should be kept out. This gets entire thread off track (e.g. like in the Soap Box) which has totally lost its purpose. (Most of us are guilty of slipping up on this from time to time, but let's be aware).

Also, keeping pics in the cartoon thread is the best idea, unless someone is posting a pic that is relevant to explaining a topic, or examing it further.

It we follow the rules and keep the Issues forum clean and keep to the reall topics, Issues can be great.

I have done all the deleting in this particular thread.
When it's just one poster's comments, I usually send a pm telling them about the action, when multiple posts get deleted, I just leave a note in the thread.

Enquiries are welcome, and I'll be more diligent about informing new members in future - it's just that I have little time at the moment.
