So what if some of the authors wrote about things that happened some time ago. I just finished a book I wrote and did exacty that. I remember things from my children as if it were yesterday.

then how could they be infallibale in this task? and dont just tell me that they were inspired by God and therefore could not be wrong. The Catholic popes have been using this arguement for 100's of years... and the latest newsd is that the current pope is conidering/being petitioned to change the Church's view upon purgatory for unbaptied babies.....

eg2 - indulgences.....need i say more? (if you are the learned man you appear to be!?)

Explain the second chapter of Acts is not asking a question. It's demanding a explanation on an entie chapter of 47 verses.

There is a unbelievable amount of possible topics for explanation in that chapter. Like I said, there are entire tomes written about this chapter.

I'm planning to spend a couple of days studying scripture so i may be better equipped for the debate.

I'm not sure what the point is though.
No non-believers are going to be converted and vice versa.

I have always questioned the need for religion in a person's life and would be more interested to know where it comes from.
