Don't sell Lemonade in the Summer. The ye ol' tradition for kids. The cops will called - and they will shut it down!

Jerry Seinfeld’s Family Lemonade Stand Shut Down By Police On L.I.; Instagram Post Goes Viral

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — Jerry Seinfeld recently had to deal with some drama in the Hamptons.

And this drama didn’t have anything to do with awkward situations between George and his girlfriend, or Kramer inadvertently stealing lobsters from a professional trap. This was the real Jerry Seinfeld in 2015 and his wife, Jessica – in a dustup over a lemonade stand.

Jessica Seinfeld posted a photo to Instagram after their son, Julian and two of his friends had their lemonade stand reportedly shut down by East Hampton police back on Tuesday, Aug 18.

The photo shows an East Hampton police squad car in the back, with Jerry Seinfeld, son Julian, and two of his friends identified as Xander and Jaden with their hands jokingly behind their heads.

A neighbor had complained about illegally parked cars, according to the East Hampton Press. Upon arrival, police told the Seinfelds that lemonade stands may not
be operated on village property, the newspaper reported.

“Lemonade dreams crushed by local neighbor, but not before raising lots of money for @loverecycled,” Jessica Schneider wrote in part in the caption for the Instagram photo. “Thanks to all of our customers and big tippers!”

“It’s really pathetic that people would call the cops over this. And it’s even more pathetic that cops shut it down,” another wrote.

But some users made light of the situation. One wrote, “thwarted by Newman again,” referring to Seinfeld’s nemesis played by Wayne Knight on his eponymous show.

The money was raised for Jessica Seinfeld’s “Baby Buggy” charity, the newspaper reported.

The Seinfelds are part-time residents of East Hampton, the newspaper reported.

^ In all fairness, Detroit does have to deal with "Devil's Night" every year on the night before Halloween, although shooting as many of the Blacks as possible that engage in this arson ritual is a better solution than banning flame throwers.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil%27s_Night

My sincere apology; scratch the word "Blacks" and replace it with "arsonists."

Wrong thread, Bob. I think you want the 'Police State' one. It's more apropos for facist fantasies about ethnic cleansing.

EPA Fines Farmer $16 Million For Building a Pond

His violation? In 2012, Mr. Johnson built a stock pond for his horses and cattle on his 8-acre property in Fort Bridger, Wyoming.

Even though the EPA has no jurisdiction over non-navigable waters and stock ponds are exempt from the CWA.

His habit of only reading the title makes him look the fool . . . yet again. At least he could have made the effort of quoting the parts that make it look as though he is right . . . but he relies on people reading his links as often as others bother to read his

You retards learn to read sometime, eh?

Even though the Clean Water Act exempts stock ponds, and Mr. Johnson had obtained the necessary state permits, the EPA ordered him in January 2014 to restore the area to its original condition or accumulate fines of $37,500 a day. Instead, Mr. Johnson hired a lawyer.

    No he didn't:

"[...] Although stock ponds are specifically excluded from the Clean Water Act, the EPA argued that Mr. Johnson had violated federal law by constructing a dam on Six Mile Creek, which runs through his property, in order to fill the stock pond.

The creek is a tributary of the Green River, which is a “navigable, interstate water of the United States,” according to the EPA order.

As a result, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers concluded that Mr. Johnson needed a “standard, project-specific CWA permit,” and not just the permits issued by Wyoming, which he had obtained..."

well you must be right, after all american lawyers are very honest and would never allow a client to waste money fighting a case he will not win.

Although stock ponds are specifically excluded from the Clean Water Act, the EPA argued that Mr. Johnson had violated federal law by constructing a dam on Six Mile Creek, which runs through his property, in order to fill the stock pond.
the chap did two things and only had a permit for one of them. rather like you... he wants to pretend this is all about his pond and not about his dam

    I guess so.

They'll at least consider all relevant facts of the case, not just a selective reading of an article/headline.

Ah, passing the buck on your lack of reading comprehension.

Here's a tip - posters are now reading past your many posted links - why not just stick to the facts instead of making shit up in the hope of not getting caught out again and again and again
