Good question. Most Americans, especially Bush supporters, are extremely intelligent. For the most part the term "terrorism" creeped into our consciousness back in the late 70s/early 80s. You're right to assume we didn't pay much attention back when fool Limeys were killing each other and we didn't pay much attention when Muslims killed each. Hell, for that matter we didn't even pay much attention when our beloved Israelis were the victims of terrorists. Then OBL fucked up and brought the game to CONUS ... stupid fuckin' move that was with the great GWB in office.
