traficant is a mildly amusing/interesting guy...and that's not just because he has the worst rug in politics.

but the host, his comments and perspective are ridiculous.

He made comments on the US dollar, AIPAC, the DoJ, government spending, etc.

Which comments are ridiculous in your opinion?

Was Traficant speaking figeratively? Figeratively, I haven't studied it. Literally, I think, no. Perhaps you know more about Rahm Emmanual.

But the other comments on illegal aliens, DoJ, USD falling, etc, I tend to agree with.

i am confident that the US national security apparatus wouldn't permit an agent of a foreign govt. (even israel with all its tentacles), to be the president's chief of staff.

Emmanuel chose to join the Israeli Defense Force during the first Gulf War instead of the US military. By definition, this made him an agent of the Israeli government.

maybe i'm wrong. if so, my apologies.

but to be honest, i can't be bothered to listen to it again.

however, i'd be happy to post a photo of traficant's rug...

    GMRoo,

Thank you for this info. I think it's fair to call him an "agent."

(Chertoff, had of homeland security was also (and still is) an Israeli citizen.)

I would consider agents in government and former member of the IDF as "agents."

    This term is fair.

Maybe he just has a funny-shaped head. Hairdo aside, in his own blue-collar way Traficant makes some sense.

There are prominent American national security experts with some backbone such as Michael Scheuer (former head of the CIA's Bin Laden unit) who asks his readers in the following blog what they think of Rahm Emanuel, "a man who chose the IDF over the U.S, military in wartime -- serving as President Obama's chief of staff and being privy to the nation's most sensitive information?"
