What I find odd with the system itself is that Sanders, who is an 'Independent" is running under the Democratic flag and Paul, who is a 'Libertarian' is running under the Republican flag.

Surely they must realise that the party machine is against them (in both quarters) and that drumming up enough support in as many states as required will benefit them far more if they run under their own flag.
