Heavens, they run for office and win a democratic election. Isn't the irony rather thick? What if the Iraqis pick a government that aligns itself with Iran and threatens to destroy Israel. Are we going to complain about that and take our ball home?

If we support democracy we also have to support the outcome when it doesn't go in our favor. Otherwise we're just the Soviet Union in disguise.
