Can I get an AMEN on that one?
I also think the cops have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.
And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my driver's license.
I think it's good.... And I'm proud that 'God' is written on my money.
I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.
I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making 'donations' to their cause......Get a Job and do your part!

Elizabeth Warren gave a speech at the DNC. (I decided to put the link to it here.)
I read her book about 10 years ago called The Two Income Trap (why American families are falling behind. Her piece on youtube is also good.
I hope she beat Scott Brown in the Senatorial election because he voice and views are needed.
Elizabeth Warren to DNC: TheCHARLOTTE, N.C.--In her speech to the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren said that the American system of government is "rigged" against the middle class.
"People feel like the system is rigged against them. And here's the painful part: they're right," Warren said in her first address to a party convention. "The system is rigged. Look around. Oil companies guzzle down billions in subsidies. Billionaires pay lower tax rates than their secretaries. Wall Street CEOs—the same ones who wrecked our economy and destroyed millions of jobs—still strut around Congress, no shame, demanding favors, and acting like we should thank them. Anyone here have a problem with that? Well I do."
Warren is running against Republican Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown, who won the seat in a 2010 special election following the death of former Sen. Edward Kennedy.
Her full remarks:
Thank you! I'm Elizabeth Warren, and this is my first Democratic Convention. Never thought I'd run for senate. And I sure never dreamed that I'd get to be the warm-up act for President Bill Clinton—an amazing man, who had the good sense to marry one of the coolest women on the planet. I want to give a special shout out to the Massachusetts delegation. I'm counting on you to help me win and to help President Obama win.

She's nothing but a cookie-cutter liberal democrat who has unsuccessfully attempted to play herself off as a minority - an American Indian which was a big FAIL. She's dishonest and running 6 points back of Scott Brown at this time.
You support the white chick who claims to be Cherokee and tells folks "you didn't build that"? She is a liar and hypocrite who gets lots of cash from the big banks. Don't tell me you also applauded the democrats' tribute to Teddy Kennedy, the drunken lying cheat who basically murdered Ms Mary Jo Kopechne by leaving her to die after he drove his car into the river. Ya, these liberals really look out for ya.

I've looked but can't find any evidence that she lied...just some in the Native American community pissed that she made the claim without any involvement in the Native American community. From what I've read, none of them even claim that she lied. Only ones claiming it are on this thread, and those claims are without substantiation.Originally Posted by barbaro

She fantasized about being a Native American so her outrage could be more authentic. That's how liberals find their slot in their hierarchy, it's by the degree of authentic outrage they are in possession of. How can you get any higher than Native American outrage? They are the original inhabitants. They have more right to stand on the soil than anyone else. Their outrage is at a premium. Elizabeth Warren aimed high.

Link at bottom has good charts that are easy to view. It's such a charade that Presidential candidates mention the "decline of the middle class" and how they will try to save or help it. It's the global economic model that both parties, Presidents, and corporations have implemented that caused this and it will continue.
9 charts that reveal how the American middle class has declined since 1970

The American middle class is losing ground.
"After more than four decades of serving as the nation's economic majority, the American middle class is now matched in number by those in the economic tiers above and below it," writes the Pew Research Center in a report that analyzes the changing size, demographic, and economic status of the American middle class.
Pew Research defines middle class as "those with an income that is 67% to 200% (two-thirds to double) of the overall median household income, after incomes have been adjusted for household size. Lower-income households have incomes less than 67% of the median, and upper-income households have incomes that are more than double the median."
In addition to no longer being the majority, income growth for this segment of Americans is sluggish, the report finds. Since 1970, median income has risen for all classes of households, but the increase for upper-income households has outpaced the middle class increase by 13 percentage points. (And middle class median income outpaced that among lower-income households by another six percentage points.)
"The state of the American middle class is at the heart of the economic platforms of many presidential candidates ahead of the 2016 election," Pew Research writes. "Policymakers are engaged in debates about the need to raise the floor on wages and on how best to curb rising income inequality."

Middle class takes financial hit in most US cities this century
Sam Fleming and Shawn Donnan in Washington
More than four-fifths of America’s metropolitan areas have seen household incomes decline this century, according to new research that exposes the politically charged reality of middle-class decline at the heart of this year’s presidential election.
The research on urban centres that are home to three-quarters of the US population shows that median household incomes, adjusted for the cost of living in the area, grew in just 39 out of 229 metro areas between 1999 and 2014.
The figures, prepared by the non-partisan Pew Research Center and shared with the Financial Times, cast light on the drivers of the economic discontent that have fuelled the rise of Donald Trump, the likely Republican nominee, and Bernie Sanders, the challenger to Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
Both men’s campaigns have tapped into deep-seated concerns among middle class voters on the right and the left. Pew’s research illuminates one source of that anxiety and raises questions about even some of America’s most celebrated economic success stories.
They reveal a steady erosion of the middle class across the map of America, with 203 out of the 229 metro areas experiencing a decline in the share of their populations that are middle income. At the same time, 172 metro areas saw increases in the share of their population that is upper-income, and 160 saw a rising lower-income share.
“We find the shrinking of the American middle class was a pervasive local phenomenon from 2000 to 2014,” said Rakesh Kochhar at Pew. “In that sense American communities share common ground — they are reflecting the national trend.”
Middle-income Americans are defined by Pew as adults who earn two-thirds to double the national median, adjusted for household size.
The drivers of the middle-class squeeze vary from city to city, but some of the steepest income declines were seen in cities hit by industrial job losses in recent decades. Springfield, Ohio, saw incomes fall 27 per cent over the period, while the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn area of Michigan recorded an 18 per cent drop in incomes. Nationwide the number of manufacturing jobs shrank 29 per cent during the current century.

47% of Americans do not have $400 in case an emergency happened.
And this program calls them middle class?

^ Just by coincidence, I just lent $400 to a friend on Sunday. I'm in Australia. He's actually working in his own small business but got too many bills at once.
It's pretty awful when you don't even have an emergency fund.
It can be scary if there was not only an emergency but a hiccup.
In the video ^^, the average "middle-class family" in the US would run out of funds to pay bills and live in 3 weeks.
And to say again, they're called, "middle-class."
In actuality they are not where near it.

^ Lent money to mates in tai-lan, all the time. Except for a couple times, they always paid me back.
Good on you for helping your friend.
"A friend in need is a friend indeed"
The average income is the same as in 1989 (in US). Of course, the costs have gone up since then. Healthcare, Education, Housing, rents.
People also work more hours per week / month = year today.

It's a phenomenon common to all western industrialised nations outsourcing manufacturing to coolie/coon states and will only worsen when AI begins cutting down large swathes of employment in the traditional white collar, middle class heartland of the law, accountancy, civil service, local government and within the administrative private sector.
Teaching, putting caps in the asses of nigras and hospital staff will however probably remain immune from the ravages.
The middle class in the USA and U.K. are about to be uplifted due to their clever voting in Trump and Brexit.
