Moving threads to "Issues"

Should threads be moved to "Issues" if the OP has started them somwhere else?

I can understan if the OP askes for them to be moved, but possibly many people like the more "freeflowing" style of the general forum rather than the more restrictive "Issues" forum. Should the moving of them be up to the mods or the OP's ?

Just a general thing really. Not any of my threads, I happened to notice stroll had moved one, just think if the OP wants it there fine, if not it should be left where it is.

Just to clarify:

I can and have moved threads out of "Issues", my role in moving one in has been to agree to it.
I am not involved in any 'moderating' outside "Issues" whatsoever.

I think I made a suggestion but I have no idea what happened after. Maybe stroll asked the OP. I think next time we need to be sure about asking the OP first.

I was informed that the thread was being moved and whether that was ok with me, which it was.

I cannot move any threads into "Issues", and wouldn't suggest to do so either.

My moderator role and power is limited entirely to the "Issues" forum.


Sorry to be a bit short on this one, my responsibility goes as far as accepting the thread and moderating future comments on it.

When I do a search on new posts, I can see mods button. Stroll can you see them too ? try to move a test thread and see what happens

Yeah, I can see the button, but it's disabled.
