"My" system (of hiring the best person for the job, giving everyone an equal opportunity to compete for resources and treating everyone respectfully) cannot lead to extremes. It works, but if it has one fault, it's that it's slow. That's why some understandably impatient minorities try to get preferential treatment, and that's why you've got a bug up your arse.
