ACORN seems to be a dodgy group. There is a headline today about voter fraud in Missouri. Registering duplicates. SS numbers, and addresses that don't even exist.
ACORN made the news in the state of Nevada too. They sought to provide employment to a bunch ex-felons. What they wound up with was a bunch of fake names registered to vote. Who would of thought hiring criminals would lead to criminal activity?
ACORN had hired 59 felons through a work release program as canvassers and submitted nearly 300 apparently fraudulent voter registration cards as part of the drive.
The submitted voter cards included addresses and names that do not exist in Nevada, duplicate registrations, names culled from telephone books and names of Dallas Cowboys players, an investigator for the Secretary of State alleged in his affidavit for a search warrant.
One ex-employee of ACORN reached by the state investigator told him she began making up names for her forms on days when it was too hot to work outside. ACORN canvassers are paid by the hour. Ex-employees also said they were expected to collect 20 complete forms a shift or risk probation and termination, the investigator said in his affidavit.
"It is very difficult to ascribe any other motive to the activities of ACORN other than to swamp the system with registrations cards" that range from illegible to being drawn from names from telephone listings or other public directories, said RNC Chief Counsel Sean Cairncross. Cairncross spoke Tuesday during a telephone press conference on another ACORN voter drive in northwest Indiana that local news accounts report is under review by elections officers.
Busy termites. Sounds like part of the Cloward-Piven strategy.![]()
^ Gotta link for that Atta?
I was in a bar watching Fox News yesterday, and they are obviously in a tizzy about the moribund McCain campaign. As best as I could see, they were only pushing three things-
alleged ACORN fraud
Bill Ayers
& that McCain needs to get more 'angry'
If thats all they've got- no policy statements, no new ideas, no positives at all, then this election is over
What you guys don't understand is Chicago is a hotbed for radical politics. Think of the Chicago Riots, the Chicago 7, the Weather Underground, Black Panthers, Saul Alinsky. I mean come on why do you think it's nonsense that Obama could be linked up with radical politics in his formative political years?
Alice Palmer, the Democrat incumbent, was knocked out of the the Illinois State Senate primary race by Obama. He challenged the signatures of registered voters she gathered to qualify her to be put on the ballot. Enough of the signatures were disqualified so that she was not allowed to run. The story has a few twists. Palmer decided to have a run at the open US Congressional seat so she chose Obama as her heir to her Illinois senate seat. She introduced Obama to her circle at the home of Ayers and Dohrn (of Weather Underground fame). Only she didn't win. Jesse Jackson Jr. beat her. So she decided to retain her state senate seat but Obama wouldn't back out of the race now that she had gotten him in. Palmer had to gather enough names of registered voters to be put on the Democrat ballot. Obama contested the names she gathered and she was disqualified. Et tu Brutus! Here is who Alice Palmer is:
IBDeditorials.com: Editorials, Political Cartoons, and Polls from Investor's Business Daily -- Alice In ObamalandTen years earlier she was an executive board member of the U.S. Peace Council, which the FBI identified as a communist front group, an affiliate of the World Peace Council, a Soviet front group.
Frank Marshall Davis, a registered member of the Communist Party, moved from Chicago to Honolulu to work for the Honolulu Record a communist tabloid newspaper. It was in Honolulu where Obama met Davis through his maternal grandfather. Davis is mentioned in Obama's book as "Frank". On the link provided below, you'll get an idea of who the editor was of the Honolulu Record.
Shaping History: The Role of ... - Google Book Search
So you see Obama does hang with radicals. His mother was one.
Asia Times Online :: Asian News, Business and Economy."Naivete" is a euphemism for Ann Dunham's motivation. Friends describe her as a "fellow traveler", that is, a communist sympathizer, from her youth, according to a March 27, 2007, Chicago Tribune report. Many Americans harbor leftist views, but not many marry into them, twice. Ann Dunham met and married the Kenyan economics student Barack Obama, Sr, at the University of Hawaii in 1960, and in 1967 married the Indonesian student Lolo Soetero. It is unclear why Soetero's student visa was revoked in 1967 - the fact but not the cause are noted in press accounts. But it is probable that the change in government in Indonesia in 1967, in which the leftist leader Sukarno was deposed, was the motivation.
His father was one. Problems Facing Our Socialism - Barak H. Obama
http://kwani.org/main/problems-facin...barak-h-obama/
His maternal grandfather, according to Obama's first book, introduced him to Frank Davis a registered member of the Communist Party.
Let's see, so as a kid, there was his father, his mother and his maternal grandfather's friend that used to come over to the house and visit. In Chicago there is Ayers, Dohrn, Palmer and the Rev.. Taken one at a time it can be explained away. Taken as a whole there is a picture.
These are the few that I took the time to drum up.
I read the first 40 pages of Obama's book Dreams From My Father. Here is a passage I wrote down:
His grandfather was a bullshitter and he leaned far left. His father was a bullshitter too and a socialist. This tells me who Obama is also; the way he tells who his mother and maternal grandparents are in the book and the way the Chicago Tribune article tells it are two different things. She's wise that way, my grandmother, suspicious of overwrought sentiments or overblown claims, content with common sense. Which is why I tend to trust her account of events it corresponds to what I know about my grandfather, his tendency to rewrite his history to conform with the image he wished of himself.
BARACK OBAMA: His mother Stanley Ann Dunham -- chicagotribune.com
sidenote to this post: Obama challenged the signatures of registered voters collected by three Democrats who qualified to run on the Democrat primary ticket. All three were investigated and disqualified. Their names were taken off the ballot and Obama ran uncontested on the Democrat primary ticket. Three Democrat candidates and three cases of voter registration disqualification. And you folks scoff at Democrat voter fraud. Obama had the funds and people to research and contest the names on the list. He stabbed his fellow Democrats to get ahead. Who amongst his Democrat brothers would have anticipated Obama's strategy to win? What would lead Obama to believe that his opponents had gathered unqualified signatures? Is it common to do so?
It was a radical and ruthless strategy to in effect wipe out your opponents before the people even had a chance to choose.

Learning by wrote is good?
Well I got my latin O level by learning latin grammar by wrote so it worked for me!
Only got a 4 though!

How come there are no white or Asian kids in that vid?
^I get a kick out of using "inferring" and "implying" in the same sentence. It's almost melodic. But, hey, why put the words in my mouth about this being genetic? You posted "nature vs nurture". Why did you go with genetic? What about nurture? He learned from his family. He was influenced by his surroundings. Kids imitate their parents. Parents are role models. There are therapists who even suggest that some mental illnesses are contagious.
Obama lived with his grandparents. Poet-communist and newspaper reporter Frank Marshall Davis used to come over and drink and smoke pot with Obama's grandfather. Obama said he used to listen to Davis' poetry and get advice from Davis on Obama's career path.
His grandfather moved from town to town and from job to job. In Hawaii, Obama wrote how his bitter grandfather used to make his life insurance cold calls in the evening. They lived in an apartment because the grandfather sold the home they owned. He named his daughter, Obama's mother, Stanley. He named his daughter after himself, Stanley. That's what he burdened his daughter with. The guy sounds like a loser and a kook. Obama's grandmother went along with it. She was from boring bumfuck Kansas and she married a 'rebel' because it was exciting. She married a loser and a half-assed communist. That's the example she set for her daughter to follow or rebel against.
Read the Chicago Tribune article and the Telegraph article. It's not a great leap to conclude Obama's grandfather was a commie too.
BARACK OBAMA: His mother Stanley Ann Dunham -- chicagotribune.com
Frank Marshall Davis, alleged Communist, was early influence on Barack Obama - Telegraph
So we have his mother, his father, his grandfather and Frank Marshall Davis all commies during Obama's youth. And though Ant would like to "clearly" conclude traits were genetically ascribed to Obama, I think it's much less fantastic to suggest he acquired them through daily exposure to his family members and friends, if he were to acquire them.
It not ridiculous to suggest that Obama has been in close contact with communists, It's ridiculous to poo-poo it because the important people in his youth were communists. That's a fact. People can decide whether he was influenced by it or not.
Move to Chicago in his young adult years. He works for ACORN doing leadership training seminars. ACORN was founded by a man who used to organize draft protests for the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). The SDS being the group Ayers and Dohrn split off from to form the Weather Underground. Now all of this is just a coincidence. He didn't know these people from the man in the moon. There was no exchange of secret handshakes to identify a fellow traveler as far as I know.![]()
Wait let me get this in from his college years: in his first memoir, "Dreams from My Father," Obama included a description of black student life at Occidental College in Los Angeles."There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs... It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names... To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."
Now this is his college years and any kid is rebellious. But I don't see a turnaround. This guy isn't John Dos Passos.
Back to Chicago. Ayers and Dohrn are admitted communists. Alice Palmer was an executive board member of an NGO which received funds from the Soviet Union according to FBI testimony before Congress. Palmer hand picked Obama to be the heir to her Illinois senate seat. She invited Obama to Ayers' and Dohrn's home where a party celebrating Obama's launch into state politics was held. She introduced him to her circle of political contacts.
A friend of Alice Palmer, Timuel Black, a professor emeritus at the City Colleges of Chicago is spoken of in a Huffington Post column: "Black speaks highly of four of the figures from Obama's past that his opponents have used to try to stain his character: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright ("better than most Americans in heritage and achievement"), Father Michael Pfleger (who risks his safety by "going into crime-ridden neighborhoods"), Weather Underground veterans Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn ("I've been friends with them going back to 1968, since long before I knew Barack")."
So Timuel has known Ayers and Dohrn from since the 60s. They ar his friends despite their mad bomber ways. He is a friend of Alice Palmer who set Obama off on his State of Illinois political career. A circle of like minded people.
Obama tries to shrug this off as a coincidence. He worked with Ayers over a period of nine years. He worked with ACORN. The founder of ACORN organized draft resistance for the militant group Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). Ayers and Dohrn split off from the SDS to form the Weather Underground. A circle of people with a common goal.
Obama and Ayers sat on the board of the Woods Fund. Obama sat on the board of the Chicago Annenburg Challenge where he dolled out grant monies to Ayers. Normally how these things work the money goes out, a portion is ratholed and kicked back, in Obama's case, the monies probably flowed in as campaign contributions for his State of Illinois senate race.
He has learned to be the front man. The clean cut guy in the suit. He's a salesman just like his grandfather who worked in retail and life insurance while Obama was growing up. The nurture.
People would like it if a person only looked at all these things one at a time. It's easier to poo-poo them. Taken together there is a picture of Obama. He hangs out with radicals all his life. But somehow we are supposed to believe it was just for amusement an amusement he has never gotten tired of.
Again, this is just a few names. I know almost nothing of his college years.
I don't think Obama can be relied upon to disagree with the extreme left.

I brought it all home like The Rev.![]()

My worse-case scenario is Obama as US prez and libbie Dion or NDP commie Layton as PM in Canada. Hello, Costa Rica!
Considering that the USA is probably the most innovative nation on earth with many intelligent and thoughtful people it always surprises me that US politics seem to be conducted at the schoolyard level. With 300 million people to choose from why are many of their politicians such fcuking donkeys.
I'll probably get around to reading Obamas bio. The point is that he did not become a Black Panther, or a sullen underperformer blaming his black thing.
He went on to graduate summa cum laude from Harvard and Columbia, becoming the first black editor of the Harvard Law Review in the process. He became a law professor also, and he maintained his interest in contributing to society as a community organiser. And so on to become a Senator and now it would seem your next President. Quite an inspirational story, for many. I hear all this stuff about Lincoln being born in a log cabin, or Nixon coming from humble roots- I had always thought Americans liked stuff like that. But it seems Republicans are more comfortable with plutocrats these days.
Christ, bit of a literalist when you want to be aren't you. Don't get caught up in the words, atta. I was taking the piss out of your guilt-by-association character assassination attempt. Is Dubbya a liar because his daddy flubbed on taxes and was the head of one of the most shady and subversive organisations going? Is McCain a racist because he served in the senate and on boards with noted segregationist and racist Strom Thurman? I think that, as a Republican, the answers to those would be different wouldn't it.![]()

I smell conservative desperation.
So do I, this whole Ayers nonsense is desperation taken to the nth degree. If that's the best they can come up with then they might as well quit now.
