palin continues to hide from the media (it's either day nine or ten without a real interview).....how is she going to stare down putin and chavez, if she can't handle tom brokaw?
the mccain campaign responded to questions about her being MIA with..
not too defensive, eh? i'm thinking that she's not able to handle the policy issues placed before her and they're afraid to put her in front of a camera. let's not forget that it took her 6 years and 5 colleges to finagle an undergraduate degree."She's not scared to answer questions," Davis said, "but you know what? We run our campaign not the news media."
and here are a couple of questions she's ducking...
Political Punch1. What was the most difficult order she has had to give to the Alaskan national guard?
2. Since being the Governor of a state close to Russia is suppose to be some sort of foreign diplomatic experience, I would like to know when was her last negotiation experience with the Russians and what was it over?
3. Does she believe that states should be allowed to secede from the union? and why?
4. What does she think is the best way to lower teen pregnancy rates? and why?
5. What was the most difficult decision she has made in public office? What made it difficult?
6. What does she believe is the best way for the USA to become energy independent?
^easy questions Ray, and no doubt she'll be doing the media as soon as she is ready. I think she is waiting for Oprah.
How many years did BO duck O'Reilly? Prob should have ducked him longer from the interview he gave - BO only can handle softball questions and not hard hitting ones.
nid aur yw popeth melyn
ok, then answer them.... i'm always up for a laugh.Originally Posted by britmaveric

you don't have any idea how many debates he took part in during the primaries, do you?Originally Posted by britmaveric
i didn't think so.
1. What was the most difficult order she has had to give to the Alaskan national guard?
There is no difficult order, as a Gov we activate when we need, normally for state of emergencies.. weather related, fires ect. However watching them being activated (indirectly yank pressie decision) and heading to War is probably the most difficult to watch because inevitablely in War some will not return.
2. Since being the Governor of a state close to Russia is suppose to be some sort of foreign diplomatic experience, I would like to know when was her last negotiation experience with the Russians and what was it over?
Fishing/Water Rights
3. Does she believe that states should be allowed to secede from the union? and why?
No - states have no authority to leave the union.
4. What does she think is the best way to lower teen pregnancy rates? and why?
Education
5. What was the most difficult decision she has made in public office? What made it difficult?
Budget Cuts - inevitably when you make cuts in the best interest of Alaska and its people - some will be affected. However you must do what is best for the majority even though it might be hard for a few.
6. What does she believe is the best way for the USA to become energy independent?
All of the above: more wind, more solar, more battery, more natural gas, more nuclear, more oil, more flex fuel
so her experience leading the national guard consists of what.... telling them to get kittens out of trees?Originally Posted by britmaveric

whoops....you stepped in it here brit....and so did sarah. what's the deal with her extended relationship with the alaska independence party? why did she attend those meetings?Originally Posted by britmaveric
that type of vague answer might work when she's 'interviewed' on foxnews, but what do you mean brit? will this educaiton include discussion about contraceptives and abortion?Originally Posted by britmaveric
-She has command/control experience as any Governor has when you are talking national guard.
-Alaska and Russia are less than 3 miles apart at their closest point in the Bering Strait where two islands, Russia's Big Diomede Island and Alaska's Little Diomede Island, are located. In winter it is possible to walk across the frozen Bering Strait border between these two islands. At its closest, the American mainland and the Russian mainland are 55 miles apart where Alaska's Seward Peninsula and Russia's Chukotka Peninsula reach out to each other.
So Ray you somehow don't think there is any fishing/water rights issues that come up from time to time???
-Independence Party attendance to some meetings means she actually buys into their beliefs? Perhaps she wanted to learn more about them?
-Education - well her answer will be Abstinence programs, and I suppose you will bring up her daughter being preggers?

so, you admit that she has a record of consorting with people (and her husband was a member btw) who want to secede from the union.Originally Posted by britmaveric

Not surprised that she has not been out and about in the press. First they had to prep her for the convention, then prep her for real campaigning. No doubt they have held off as long as possible.
Much like Obama has ducked McCain in regard to weekly town hall meetings, because he felt he did not need to do it - even though early on he said he would. The red team has not seen the need to put Palin at the mercy of the press just yet.
The red team and Palin are getting plenty of press already. And if the polls can be belived it is working on the favor of the GOP. If she then goes to the press and does well the gap will grow. If she does not do so well, then they hopefully they will have gotten all the could out of the Palin announcement and the convention bump before taking a hit.
"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, it takes religion" - Steven Weinberg
It's yet to be seen if the Palin pick will turn out well for McCain in the long run. But so far it sure seems to have done some good for the red team. Engergized the base, tons of free press coverage (without her even going out to stump the press directly), and they're up in the polls.
I am sure that eventually the attention will eventually shift back to the core focus of Obama vs McCain. But US News & World Reports seem to think the blue team are stuggling to respond to the Palin:
USNews.com: Political Bulletin: Monday, September 8, 2008
Gov. Sarah Palin continues to dominate the national media's coverage of politics, which is focusing on her effect on Republicans and Democrats alike. In that context, Sens. Barack Obama and Joe Biden appeared on the Sunday shows yesterday, and ABC World News says "what became pretty clear is that the Democrats still have not settled on a strategy for responding to Palin." ABC added, "At this point, the Obama campaign is trying to get the focus off Sarah Palin, and back onto John McCain, and the present occupant of the White House" and will "aim its heaviest artillery at" McCain while "waiting and hoping that Sarah Palin makes a mistake."
DEMOCRAT Barack Obama yesterday accused Sarah Palin of “making stuff up” and ridiculed Republicans for trying to co-opt his message of change.
“Words mean something. You can’t just make stuff up,” he said…"
Fantasist Obama Says Palin Makes Stuff Up | Sweetness & Light
A Deplorable Bitter Clinger

How can she be making stuff up when the lefties are accusing her of not saying anything yet and dodging the press?
If she's the Governor and the employee did not follow her wishes that's called insubordination innit? Grounds for dismissal.
Oh, pullease; it can't be worse than 20 years at Rev Wright's altar can it?
Um, like just about any opinion you've given?
Geez, rc is exuding his poshlust today. The dog musta forgot his lithium injection.
Since when is a state governor in control of NATIONAL defense?
And "consorting" with a secessionist party? Your choice of derogatory terms nevers ceases to amaze me, rc. I would see her visits to any meetings as "know thy enemy".
As for sex education, well, up to her. The condom programs have not worked either, have they?
So, if she continues to dominate the news, no rush to push her into a shark feeding frenzy with the Libbie press, is there?

Man, this lady has gotten RC and the lefties shitting all over themselves.
How many silly cut and paste jobs has RC made. How many times has he crapped himself in an attempt to insult this person he knew nothing about 2 weeks ago?
Ok, RC, backtrack a little. You said she would be dropped from the ticket. Boy, that looks highly unlikely now.
Then you went on for pages about "vetting"
Obviously no one cared.
Now you are trying to stir up some idea about her being part of a new confedercy of something.
Man, wash yourself off. You have been shitting all over yourself for a week now over Sarah. At first kinda of funny to watch in a cruel sort of way, but it is sad to see a "man" completely lost control over his bowel movements over hatred of a woman. And also, all the shit stinks and after a quick laugh at you, everyone now wants to run away to avoid the stench.
I've been gone for a couple of days and come back to read the last 3-4 pages man!! Ray is really frothing out of the mouth like a mad liberal..take it easy dude after all it's only an election for the leader of the free world
Speaking in tongues, just what we need.
WASILLA, Alaska (CNN) -- For more than two decades, current Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was a practicing Pentecostal.
Sarah Palin asked church members to pray for $30 billion natural gas pipeline in Alaska.

She belonged to the Wasilla Assembly of God church in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. But though she attended the church from her teenage years through to 2002, she hasn't talked much about her religion since joining the Republican ticket.
Palin's former pastor, Tim McGraw, says that like many Pentecostal churches, some members speak in tongues, although he says he's never seen Palin do so. Church member Caroline Spangler told CNN, "When the spirit comes on you, you utter things that nobody else can understand ... only God can understand what is coming out of our mouths."
Some Pentecostals from Assembly of God also believe in "faith healing" and the "end times" -- a violent upheaval that they believe will deliver Jesus Christ's second coming.
"Our basic belief is that God is God and he knows where history is going and he has a purposeful plan and within the middle of that plan we live in an environment in our world where certain events would take place," says McGraw. "Sarah wasn't taught to look for one particular sign -- a cataclysmic sign. She knew as every Christian does ... that God is sovereign and he is in control."

"unelectable"
But leading in the polls?
Keep it up lefties, keep attacking Sarah and shitting all over yourselves and watch the backlash send the dems down the dumpster.
Obama is standing by watching all the hatred and irrationality of his supporters sink his chances for the presidency (Just like Karl Rove planned).
Fuck, hate-filled lefties are so easy to manipulate.

Well, snigger-snigger, the wording is quite humorous if you are a juvenile . . . snigger, snigger.
Are George Bush and Jet Gorgon Pentecostals?you utter things that nobody else can understand
Seriously, folks . . . Does anyone here believe that Mrs Palin will have the capability of keeping the separation of Church and State?
I don't know much about Pentecostals, but it seems they are rather devout, how could anyone, not just Palin, separate the two being in this situation?

It's one thing to have a religious belief which informs one's conscience and decisions, another to believe one knows god's will and base one's actions on it.
The latter characterises zealots and theocracies.
