Has the boyfriend made any comment yet ? Surely he's going to deny that he was going in the backdoor while her husband was at work.

    Britney Spears springs to mind.

Maybe the husband knows all about it. Heck, maybe they shared?

Clintons want Obama to lose, so Hillary can run on 2012. I wouldn't be surprised if they are working with McCain behind the scenes through their political operatives.

Yeah - the McCain - Palin ticket has a real Western / Libertarian Vibe to it. Aside from the moonbats on either coast, flyover country subscribes to that Vibe...heh

Ray, I didn't post that "I just talked with 3 friends in the states."

    Where did this come from?

usually i'm not inclined to post the opinions of others, but it has become quite popular here in issues, so i'll give it a try.

the editorial board of the alaska's biggest newspaper is calling for subpoenas in "trooper-gate"
Gov. Sarah Palin is taking the wrong approach to Troopergate. She should be practicing the open and transparent, ethical and accountable government she promised when running for governor and boasts about now that she's on the national stage.

Instead, Gov. Palin has begun stonewalling the Legislature's attempt to get the bottom of allegations that she, her family or staff violated ethical or state personnel rules.
Gov. Palin should honor her pledge to cooperate with the Legislature's investigation, conducted by former state prosecutor Steve Branchflower. She could start by telling aide Frank Bailey he has to talk to the legislative investigator. She should fire him if he doesn't.

Bailey was caught on an audio recording of a phone conversation with a Public Safety Department official, in which Bailey pushed to get Wooten fired.

Bailey was put on paid leave, not fired. A spokeswoman for Palin said that while Bailey is on the state payroll, Palin can direct him to cooperate with the legislative investigation.

So why is Bailey still on the payroll, after he bailed on a scheduled interview with the legislative investigator Wednesday?

The Legislature hasn't given its investigator the power to subpoena, or compel, testimony of witnesses. Subpoenas appeared unnecessary, since it appeared the governor and administration would be cooperating.

That's over. It's time for the subpoenas.

New polls show the gap has closed to a great extent. I think this has a great deal to do with Sarah. The race is on, come on leftie bloggers. keep tearing into Saran just like Karl Rove and the boys planned and watch the dems throw this election away.

Master strategic move by the GOP (whether it is good for the country is another issue) and the lefties are so filled with hate they charge right in tearing apart this woman that is becoming America's darling.

Change? Don't see it, dems suckered into playing the GOP game just like in 2000 and 2004.

No one should get too excited over the polls just yet. All in all, now that both parties have had their shot in the lime light, the differences are about the same as they where before the Dem convention. The real campaign is just beginning. All the rest has been foreplay. Polls in the latter half of October will be a much better indicator as to which team has the edge. Any team having more than a 2 or 3% lead the week ahead of the election is likely going to win.

And most voters with any sense, haven't even tuned in until now.

Despite what Milkman spouts about no-info voters still being undecided, the issues haven't even been debated yet. Voters who have made up their minds are either blinded by partisanship or enamored by bullshit.

How can anyone decide before hearing the candidates square off against one another?

Exactly. This is why the polls since the very beginning have been nearly a dead heat reflecting those who have already made up their minds based on partisan ideals. The hard core on both sides won't even listen to the other side much less vote for them. It is the independent thinkers who will decide the election and they need to hear more re policy and ability of each candidate to install the policies they profess.

I don't deny there are many that will vote on pure emotion. They're neither intelligent nor representative. Even Palin's son who is in the Army is registered as an independent.

Not everybody has the blinders on.

I am not sure what you mean, AA.

The independents that can go either way, will likely decide this election, not the "leftie bloggers."

I use the term "low-info" voter not "no-info."

Nonetheless, the real issues have not been debated on, and they will not be debated on, because nothing can be done about the most pressing issues.

    (e.g. David F. Walker's points.)

Voters who have made up their minds are either blinded by partisanship or enamored by bullshit.
Tex is one of my favorite posters in Issues. Serious. He's got good insight.

And yes, I am not 100% in favor of any candidate. As I've said I like Obama - just a little more than McCain. But, I really don't like either.

I'll be voting Libertarian (Barr) unless the race is very, very, tight in my state of Washington - which it could be.

The underlying messages/slogan which will continue to drive campaign strategies are for the Dems "McCain will be more of the same as you got from Bush", and for the GOP "Obama doesn't have the experience to be President".

Believing either based on the rhetoric without looking hard at their individual policies is risky.

    ^ Nice analogy, Boon. 55555
Oprah wants to interview after she is VP? So, the Dems have already given up?
Sure, there is dirt on everyone, but the lengths that the lefty press are going to (complaining they can't get a tel line into rich Alaska -- sorry all lines are busy) and getting angry about every little thing is hilarious. Floor Potato's link in the other thread shows how far they are going. The latest is that she's racist (oh, OK, so she must hate her huz who is part Inuit).
Face it, nobody gets to a big position without p*ssing someone off. It's part of the job. Santa Claus types don't become leaders.

Here is an informative article on Palin's evangelical views and the base of evangelicals and the different segments of that base. The articles also discusses if Palin can attract enough evangelicals and translate the into votes for the McCain-Palin ticket. It's an article worth a skim or read. Here it is.

Thanks for the article, MM, but quite frankly, the lefty media is grasping at straws and whispers: Her baby Trig was a coverup as he was her daughter's, banned library books, troopergate, now church crap.
    From the Time article:
They don't attend churches where speakers charge that violence against Israelis is divine punishment for the failure of Jews to accept Jesus, as happened at one of Palin's churches two weeks ago (though Palin has now issued a statement saying she does not agree with those views).
Oh for crikes sake. Did any of these lefties report on Rev Wright and his calls on America deserved 9/11, etc? Bladdy smear tactics.
